Greg Brunkalla (director of "List of Demands") was in LA this summer and got a call from Saul Williams. He was calling to see if they could film something quickly for Saul's website. They got together at Greg's hotel and quickly started brainstorming about other things they could film. An hour later this DNA video is what they came up with. All shot in a hotel room, in slow motion, and out of focus.

Saul Williams - Wine

Amazing track a little slow to start for some but at like 3 minutes turns into like a whole different song. Posted the lyrics as well because they are worth reading as much as hearing. The new wine is dying on the vine how much must you age before you're ageless? align yourself with the divine allow your inner sage to burn your rage less 'cause I find through testaments of time there is no space for time within your mind if your looking for yourself, yourself you'll find through the crystal of your spirit you'll inherit the divine you are God, you best believe don't waste your time down on your knees it's everybody for themselves you have the fire and the cross don't save your soul it's sour loss collective soul, collective well The new wine is dying on the vine how much must you age before you're ageless? align yourself with the divine allow your inner sage to burn your rage less 'cause I find through testaments of time there is no space for time within your mind if your looking for yourself, yourself you'll find through the crystal of your spirit you'll inherit the divine you are God, you best believe don't waste your time down on your knees it's everybody for themselves you have the fire and the cross don't save your soul it's sour loss collective soul, collective well Chorus (x2): Now do you know how I feel tonight? Sage Francis - Sea Lion (Feat Alias, Saul Williams)

SageFrancis.net http Sage Francis - Sea Lion (Feat Alias, Will Oldham & Saul Williams) The force of my love was strong. The sea lion lay down long. Song in the air. Why should singer care? When singer can be among song. Ma, Ma--look what i did, Ma. Look what i did to my hands, I broke 'em. You gave me the stone, gave me the chisel, didn't say how to hold 'em. Didn't say to give away every piece of the puzzle 'til i was left with nothin'. But i took it upon myself to crush it up and distribute the dust. Get in the bus. Hop in the van. Jump in the water. Crawl to the land. Build another castle out of sand. Break it down and then get into the saddle again. I'm going city to city - i'm already lost. Tell the boss who is new in town. I'll ride this horse 'til it it bucks me off and i'm forced to shoot it down. I'll take him out for some gasoline. Trade this cow for some magic beans. Gonna make mom proud of the deals that I made, 'cause I'm just a modern day Johnny Appleseed But i'm glad that I never passed the genes, and I never put down the axe. Piano man got a checkered dance floor to grace and a painful look on his face. 'Cause the crowd is packed and the louder they clap the less he is able to make the connection between what he sees when he hears certain notes and the hurt that is shown in his facial expression. Ahhhhhh. I don't need your "go ahead" to go ahead. No, I know no one said it was gonna be easy, but sweet jesus who wants to sleep with me? Way too many moves to ...

Saul Williams - Bloodletting

Bloodletting by Saul Williams the greatest americans have not been born yet they are waiting patiently for the past to die please give blood those crumbled tablets were to share a story with a burning Bush where is that voice from nowhere to remind us that the holy ground we walk on, purified by native blood has rooted trees whose fallen leaves now colour code a sacred list of demands? who among us can give translation of autumn's hues to morning news? the anchor man thrown overboard has simply rooted us in history's repeating cycle a nation in its saturn years that won't acknowledge karma where is that voice from nowhere, the ones your prophets spoke of? there are voices from fear disconnected from their diaphragms dangling from coffee covered teeth that spill into our laps and scorch our privates there are voices from the sides of necks some already noosed dangling participles pronouns running for sentence serving life in corner offices and ghetto corners their voices are the same: dead to themselves numb to the possibility of truth existing beyond that which can be palmed into your hand, period. there are voices of elders which seem to do no more than damn us to our childish ways for in many households wisdom no longer comes with age so where is that voice from nowhere? that burning bush? that passing dove? for i hear generals calling for ammunition presidents calling for arms and women calling for help where is that voice from nowhere? that god of abraham? can he be ...

List of Demands (Reparations) by Saul Williams with lyrics

List of Demands (Reparations) by Saul Williams I want my money back I'm down here drowning in your fat You got me on my knees praying for everything you lack I ain't afraid of you I'm just a victim of your fears You cower in your tower praying that I'll disappear, I got another plan, one that requires me to stand On the stage or in the street, don't need no microphone or beat And when you hear this song, if you ain't dead then sing along Bang and strum to these here drums til you get where you belong I got a list of demands written on the palm of my hands I ball my fist and you're gonna know where I stand We're living hand to mouth You wanna be somebody? See somebody? Try and free somebody? I got a list of demands written on the palm of my hands I ball my fist and you're gonna know where I stand We're living hand to mouth Hand to mouth I wrote a song for you today while I was sitting in my room I jumped up on my bed today and played it on a broom I didn't think that it would be a song that you would hear but when I played it in my head, I made you reappear I wrote a video for it and I acted out each part Then I took your picture out and taped it to my heart. I've taped you to my heart dear girl I've taped you to my heart And if you pull away from me you'll tear my life apart I got a list of demands written on the palm of my hands I ball my fist and you're gonna know where I stand We're living hand to mouth You wanna be somebody?
