Even though the sea at times is very powerful with crashing waves, there is also a great sense of calmness, tranquility and peace about it. These images of the ocean with the relaxing sound of the wind and the sounds of the sea can be used for healing meditation, specifically ocean meditation. Use this ocean relaxation with natures music as part of a stress relief inner healing programme. This sound was repeatedly recorded during summer, 1997 on the Equatorial Pacific Ocean autonomous hydrophone array. The sound rises rapidly in frequency over about one minute and was of sufficient amplitude to be heard on multiple sensors, at a range of over 5000 km. It yields a general location near 50oS; 100oW. The origin of the sound is unknown.

Relax and enjoy the sound of the ocean W/O music, watch and listen to the calming soothing music of waves crashing. I filmed this peaceful atmospheric scene on the rocky shoreline of Ireland's northwest coast. The rugged coastline in this part of the country is so inspirational, a mixture of sandy beaches, stoney pebble beaches, craggy rocks and cliffs. Just around the corner from where I filmed this scene lie what are believed to be Europe's highest seacliffs, rising 610m straight up out the sea. From moment to moment the landscape takes on a completely different feel as the weather never stays the same for very long, making this one of the most spectacular places to be. I was captivated by the meditative quality of the sea as it rose and fell, pulsating, a slave to the pull of the moon. A symphony of sound filled the air. Although Bloops are some of the loudest sounds of any type ever recorded in Earth's oceans, their origin remains unknown. The Bloop sound was placed as occurring several times off the southern coast of South America and was audible 5000 kilometers away. Although the sound has similarities to those vocalized by living organisms, not even a blue whale is large enough to croon this loud. The sounds point to the intriguing hypothesis that even larger life forms lurk in the unexplored darkness of Earth's deep oceans. A less imagination-inspiring possibility, however, is that the sounds resulted from some sort of iceberg calving. No further Bloops have been heard since 1997, although other loud and unexplained sounds have been recorded. Steve Turre (born September 12, 1948 in Omaha, Nebraska) is an internationally renowned trombonist, recording artist, arranger, and educator. In 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2006 he won the Down Beat Reader's Poll for best trombonist. He was raised in San Francisco, California by Mexican American parents, and at first studied violin. However he switched to trombone at age ten and later studied at University of North Texas. In 1968 he played with Rahsaan Roland Kirk, in 1970 he recorded with Carlos Santana, and in 1972 he toured with Ray Charles. He has been the trombonist for the Saturday Night Live band since 1984 and has taught jazz trombone at the Manhattan School of Music since 1988.

For more outstanding jazz fusion, you should buy Lenny's great 1978 album, " Adventures Of Astral Pirates . " ."Prince Of The Sea" is 11:37 long and of course it provides the goods. The beginning sounds like music from an alien planetscape; Gumbs' work is again a graceful mood-setter, in concert with Tom Harrel's flugelhorn. The band eases into the stratosphere, and Coryell takes the solo ante higher with a particularly sharp performance showcasing a more traditional (but well amplified) jazz guitar sound. Gumbs takes a turn in the spotlight, on acoustic and electric pianos, before DiMeola's more modern, sustain-driven soloing answers Coryell. It wouldn't be complete if the two guitar-maestros failed to trade licks, and they do, while White and Rauch increase the intensity.Indeed it makes quite a finale to a fine showcase of A-list 70's funk-fusion-spaceprog.
