Shania thought Casey was missing confidence during his rehearsal. And why not? The judges have hammered Casey over his routine performances, hard guitar solos and all. In fairness, even Casey admitted he hadnt really started singing yet this year. So he let go of the solo, took a seat for some rhythm strumming and leaned heavily on the vocals. It paid off. From the start, Casey exhibited range that we hadnt heard before. And it wasnt stretching - Casey was comfortable up high. He had vibrato. This was his best performance of the year. Randys first word: Wow. He and Simon both called it his best, with Simon referring to last week as a wake up call. Would it be enough to put him back in the top three? If he keeps that up, he can challenge Big Mike for that spot.
