This is a highlights film that I filmed at the Sheffield FC Stadium (home to the world's first football club). The two University teams had a thrilling head to head encounter, watch and enjoy. As you can see (on favourites) it was originally uploaded to my Union YouTube site - SHUboxTV where it has been viewed several times (probably by the Hallam players!)

Here are some example images of the work done by a couple of undergraduate mechanical engineers at the University of Sheffield. The images are examples of work produced throughout the four year MEng undergraduate degree. The FEA was undertaken mostly on ANSYS and the CFD program used was FLUENT and GAMBIT. Thanks to Barry Tan, Ralph Wilson, Dara Leyden, Nigel Presley and Henry Brunskill for the content.

Heading from floor 14 to the lower ground floor of the University of Sheffield's Arts Tower, Sheffield, in England. The paternoster lift is one of just a handful still operating in Europe. Since filming this video, the Arts Tower has been closed for an extensive refurbishment. Various academic departments (including architecture) are schedule to return for the 2011/2 academic year. My understanding is that the paternoster is a feature of the listed building, and therefore has had to be preserved, but I'd appreciated confirmation of its current status.

The band consisted of Genesis P-Orridge (aka Neil Megson - bass guitar, violin, vocals, vibraphone), Cosey Fanni Tutti (guitars, cornet, vocals), Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson † 24.11.2010 (tapes, found sounds, horns, vibraphone, synthesizer), and Chris Carter (synthesizers, tapes, electronics). First era: 1975 to 1981 Throbbing Gristle evolved from the performance art group COUM Transmissions, a group of performers centered around Genesis P-Orridge and Cosey Fanni Tutti. The final performance of COUM Transmissions in 1976 was the debut of Throbbing Gristle. Throbbing Gristle's confrontational live performances and use of often disturbing imagery, including pornography and photographs of Nazi concentration camps, gave the group a notorious reputation. However the group always maintained that their mission was to challenge and explore the darker and obsessive sides of the human condition rather than to make attractive music. Throbbing Gristle pioneered the use of pre-recorded tape-based 'samples'[1] , and made extensive use of special effects to produce a distinctive, highly distorted background, usually accompanied by lyrics or spoken-word performances by Cosey Fanni Tutti or Genesis P-Orridge. This is my entry for the Sheffield Made Us 'student' competition run by The University of sheffield. This was my first attempt at animation (dodgy in places) and aims to show the 'student life' of a typical student attending sheffield university and setting up home in this lively city. The intention of the competition is to exhibit how university here has 'broadened my outlook on life' and 'defined the person I have become' - deep stuff! so I've just had a bit of fun with this.... Enjoy! The brilliant soundtrack is a band called 'SKIBUNNY', self proclaimed "Ambassadors for a new spirit of awesome goodtimes". nice. The song is called 'Aahooh'.
