Neil Diamond - Shilo
Best video of Shilo you will ever see! The pictures tell the story of the song Perfectly! Shilo is a beautiful song written and performed by Neil Diamond and for the past 15 years I have always wanted to make a video about it. I finally found the time to do it after dreaming about it all these years (completed March 2009). I took photos from my past and edited them to fit Neil's song so it would tell the story the way I had always envisioned it. I used pictures from my childhood days, of myself from the late 80's & early 90's, and photos of my friends. None of the pictures were staged for this video and all of them are from different photo albums from my past (except for 2 or 3 that I borrowed). Alot of them are from my Star Trek & Batman days because I worked in the Star Trek business for 10 years and I have been a professional Batman since the later 1980's. That is why you will see a Batman and Star Trek theme to it. The awesome pictures of Neil Diamond are from the 1972 "Hot August Night" concert. This is a great song and an excellent video! Enjoy!

Neil Diamond - Shilo
Even better then the first Shilo video I did. If you thought my first Shilo video was great then you will really enjoy this one. When I decided to make a Shilo video 15 years ago I was torn between using the original 1960's song and this live version Neil did in the 90's. The live song has a couple different verses and is a longer song with a faster beat to it. I ended up making 2 versions of the video because I love both songs, and because the live song tells a slightly different story then the original studio recorded one does. This live version of Shilo has all new pictures from my past, great nostalgic photos from my Star Trek / Batman days, and there is a 1 1/2 minute mini video at the end of the song using left over photos that I wanted to use in Shilo. I didn't have room to use them all so I put them together with a beautiful instrumental song called "Theme" that Neil wrote on his very successful "Moods" album. It's a very peaceful, moving piece of music and the pictures flow perfectly with the song. I'm sure you will enjoy both of these videos as much as I enjoyed making them. Be sure to keep watching when the Shilo song ends cause it's not over.

Neil Diamond on "Shilo": "Shilo was more of a fantasy, more of a dream sequence, a very sad story of a boy who invents a friend out of loneliness. I love this song because it moved me. It was me. It was the story of my life as a child, but it was not commercial so we argued about it for six months and they refused to release it as a single. I wanted it out and I finally felt that I could not work under those conditions and so I left Bang. My contract was up at the end of the two years and I left because of "Shilo". Live 2002 version of Shilo from 'Stages'.

Chris Duarte - Shilo Part 1
Chris Duarte, a San Antonio native was born in February of 1963, the same year as his Strat. His goal, to be a successful musician and write music for all the world to hear. His choice instrument, the guitar and at the age of 15 his career of being a musician began. At the tender age of sixteen he dropped out of high school and moved to Austin, Texas to further develop his musical career. Several years later, Chris met a man by the name of John Jordan who would become Chris' best friend and co-founder of the Chris Duarte Group. John, like Chris was born with music in his blood. Although John's first instrument was piano, he would become the bass guitarist for the Chris Duarte Group. Together they would travel to over 300 dates on average per year for over 15 years straight. It was then that Mr. Jordan departed from the group to pursue a solo career and to open his own Record company called Tana Records. The band still continues to play well over 200 nights a year in every state and many countries abroad. Collectively, the Chris Duarte Group has realeased a total of four albums. Texas Sugar Strat Magic (1994), Tailspin Headwhack (1997), Love is Greater then Me (2000) and Romp (2004). the band is due to hit the studio in December of 2006 for release number 5 from the Chris Duarte Group. Dear subscribers, I am very sad to let you know that Shilo died this morning (7.9)... I loved my cat and he was main positive character in Nunu Bot 10 script (last hope for humanity after switching back from Horror Shilo in that script) and will make N10 in memory of him with changed story.
