PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS This is a video showing a couple of my short barrel shotguns registered on a Form 1 with the ATF. This video is to show the shotgun builds and not my skill at shooting them (or lack there of). When I am working on a firearm build I try to get as much info on them as possible. I hope this video will give some ideas to those looking to legally build a NFA shotgun. The majority of ammo fired was Remington field loads with some 00 Buck thrown in on each (I only had one box to shoot between the two). Side by Side SBS: The double barrel shotgun is a Stoeger Uplander which from the factory sported 26" barrels. The barrels are now 11" with a 19" overall length. The front was a strait cut. It appears the top and bottom ribs are soldered the length of the barrel. I still plan to cold blue the cut and might fill up the front gap between the barrels with black silicon or something else for looks. Also for looks I may add a bead sight. The majority of the stock was cut off with a table saw and the grip was held in a vice while I grinded the grip to how I wanted it. I had to find a new bolt to hold the grip on and I had to use a dremmel to open up the new screw hole to recess the bolt head into the grip. After that I stained and sealed the stock set. The Tank Cartridge, 120mm, Canister, XM1028, is a tank round comprised of 1150 (est.) tungsten balls, which are expelled upon muzzle exit. There is no fuse on this round. While the dispersion pattern increases with range as the velocity of the balls decreases, the dense tungsten balls are used to minimize the velocity fall-off. This program responds to the USFK urgency of need signed by the CINC in Dec '99. RAPT Initiative Funding to be used for 6.0M in FY02 to accelerate development by one year earlier than previously planned. This round meets urgent CINC, USFK requirements to provide effective rapid lethal reaction against massed assaulting infantry armed with hand held anti-tank and automatic weapons at close range (500 meters or less) thereby improving survivability. PART 4 OF ////////////////// Few handheld small arms equal the knockdown power and devastation of a competently wielded combat shotgun. In this multi-part review series by Nutnfancy, three excellent pump combat shotguns are covered in detail: the Remington 870 (Talo Special Edition), the Mossberg 590A1, and the discontinued Winchester 1300 Defender (similar gun by FN USA now). There are a couple of other players in pumps like FN, Charles Daly, and some off brands but these three are the stars of the series. Several semi-automatic combat shotguns also compete against this type and these brands. These autos include the Benelli Super 90/M2/M4, the Remington 1100/11-87 Tactical series, the Mossberg 930, Saiga variations, the Beretta FP101(discontinued), Winchester Super X3 (more of a hunting gun), FN SLP, and a few others. However these auto guns rarely function well on low-base/low power shot loads, needing full power loads to reliably cycle (w/o port or spring mods). Seemingly not a big deal right? Wrong. That's because you have to train on the shotgun to get good at it., pump or auto. Training with full power loads will bankrupt you if you are paying the bill (even PDs have a tough time affording the cost), you will soon quit, and your skills will suffer. A good combat pump shotgun will cycle any load you throw in it and it will do it all day long with almost perfect reliability. Low base birdshot, high base, odd balls, non-lethal rounds: all will fire and shuck just fine <b>...</b>

Can you get a reliable Russian-made AK-variant rifle for less than $500? Yes. Things may change but as of 2010 it is possible. The Saiga rifles offered by Russian American Armory Company are made on the same production lines as the AK-74 and AK-100 series of Russian service rifles and share their same reliability and durability. At least that's what Mr. Clyde Woods from RAAC tells us in this Nutnfancy 2010 SHOT Show booth review (and he was a great host!). I am inclined to agree and wouldn't hesitate buying the type. Featuring hammer forged, chrome-lined barrels and chrome-lined bores and chambers, the Saigas shown here should shoot accurately and last a long time. The Saigas were engineered from the outset to be a commercial AKM variant and as such depart heavily from the AK/AKM feature set. As such they are "less threatening" and thus more importable. Although the Saiga rifles feature similar stamped receivers (about 1mm thickness) they lack many of the genuine AK/AKM features like: dimpled receiver for magazine stability, upper handguard and pistol grip, standard AK fire control group (Saigas use their own trigger arrangements), receiver notches for safety catch, bayonet-capable front sight block with muzzle device (Saigas have neutered front sight, no threading or muzzle device), integral cleaning rod, AK gas block with vent holes, and standard AK magazine capability (Saigas take a proprietary magazine, modification for capability IS possible for some Saigas [barrel <b>...</b>

this is the best i could do after 25 or so rounds with this thing. and admittedly its because these people were probably the worst bunch i've played since starting mw3. don't waste your effort, ARs and SMGs.

This does not change the damage on the pellets so that means you get a potential 50% more damage if all of your extra pellets hit. Damage proficiency will give an additional 40% damage per shot. This means that if you combine the 1.4x damage with the potential 1.5x damage from the extra pellets, your shotgun might well do 210% extra damage. 1.4*1.5=2.1 Lastly if you are using the Specialist Strike Package and you hit 8 kills you will be granted extra proficiencies including Range. So with shotguns you can start with Damage and Extended Mags, then hit 8 kills and get Range as well. You will be set to rape face! Also, since the Model 1887 cannot have any attachments, if you use both extended mags and damage on the Spas12, it will have better range and higher damage than the Model.

The Terrible Shotgun has a far larger spread than normal shotguns; it is very unreliable as full damage is only done if all pellets hit, this is very hard to do as its accuracy is lower. This is where the Kneecapper can be all the difference in a straight up fight. It can be repaired with normal Combat Shotguns and it has poor durability and tends to degrade rapidly. It is recommended to carry at least one other Combat Shotgun if you intend to use the Terrible Shotgun as a main weapon in combat.
