We put Siva through his paces with some quickfire questions for EF's The Wanted Week.
Gayatri (Revati), daughter of a priest, elopes with her lover to the US while she was about to be offered to Naga Devata. Gayatri narrates her story to her son Anand (Prithviraj), saying that there was a big sorcerer in her native village Sivapuram. During her childhood, that sorcerer tried to kidnap her but gets killed in the hands of her father. But that sorcerer, before dying transfers all his powers to his grandson called Digambar (Manoj K Jain) and tells him to take revenge against the priest's family and grab the Naga Manikyam. Anand returns to Sivapuram to fulfil her last wish to light 1000 lamps in Naga Devata temple and perform her last rites by immersing her ashes in the temple koneru (tank). In Sivapuram, Anand happens to meet his sister-in-law Bala (Kavya) and falls in love with her. For the remaining story watch Sivapuram.

Siddardha (Vikram) takes birth in a crematorium and her mother dies immediately after his birth. Siddardha is raised by the crematorium's undertaker. After the death of the undertaker, Siddardha becomes orphan. He does not know anybody in the village and he was never been out of crematorium earlier. He visits village in search of food. The village people detest his presence and try to stone him away from the village. Kamala (Sangeeta) - a ganja seller by trade - rescues him and requests a mafia leader Rayudu (Ramaraju) to recruit Siddardha. Siddardha works for Rayudu in his ganja farms. One fine day, police nab Siddardha on the charges of peddling ganja from jungles to village. Satya (Surya) is a village smart trickster who is put in jail for his misdeeds. Siddardha who never socialized with people and never observed the customs of the village had a tough time coping up with the challenges thrown by the new environment. Siddardha and Satya become close to each other in the jail. Satya gets released and then arranges a bail for Siddardha. Satya, Siddardha and Kamala start living together along with their friends. Rayudu asks Siddardha to cremate a dead body and Siddardha does it. The interrogation by police leads the suspicion towards Siddardha. Satya then reveals the details of ganja trade of Rayudu. Rayudu kills Satya in an act of retaliation. The rest of the film is all about how Siddardha takes revenge on Rayudu.

Smashing Pumpkins - Siva - Oakland, Live, Friday 10-7-11, front row, Fox Theater. Billy Corgan performs all the rarely played songs form the 1st 3 albums and then some! Other Tidbits: Before the concert, there was a meet up of the Smashing Pumpkins Record Club about an hour before the doors opened. They were let in early to listen to part of the sound check and talk with one of the SP administrators who asked about what merchandise they would like to see and let them listen to a few unreleased demo tracks. The administrator also let the security staff know that the organizer of the meet up had personal permission from Billy Corgan to set up an HD camera on a tripod to record the show. He was in the 1st balcony. The other 34 of the SPRC were also standing where I was standing. The guy to my left who is constantly pointing to the air is from Chicago, Corgan's hometown, and apparently was the guy who stood in front of the Fillmore in San Francisco in 2007 with no money and only a sign begging for a ticket. After many hours, Billy noticed this and put him on the guest list, thereby getting him in free to the sold out 2-week set. I guess I was one of the few fans in my area who has not met Billy Corgan personally, though at the end of 'Bullet With Butterfly Wings', the last song of the encore, Billy does point at me and do a dance for my camera, lol. The concert definitely focused on rarely played songs on the albums Gish and Pisces Iscariot, probably because those 2 and <b>...</b>
