The B side lights out features piano from Ace Skudder from Shakin' Stevens band the Sunsets! The A side was a cover of the Flamin' Groovies' classic "Teenage Head" which Garvey's previous band Ducks Deluxe had also covered. The record was released on Dutch indie label Dynamite, who were based in Amsterdam, and is a good example of the pub-rock/punk crossover that was centred at venues such as the Hope & Anchor pub in Islington. The band split with Garvey and Richard Wernham (Ricky Slaughter) going on to form the rather more successful Motors, who had a couple of hits with Virgin Records. ------------------------ Teenage Head is The Flamin' Groovies third studio album, released in 1971.
