Small Town America

This is a clip about a small town in South Mississippi called Shubuta, which is located approximately 100 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico, and was bypassed with a new four lane highway leaving it virtually abandoned by the passing traffic. This clip also features the larger of two "hanging bridges" located there. Local legend and historians claim there were hangings performed here as recent as the 1940's. Go here www.flickr.com for additional pictures of this bridge and others.
