Get Ur Good On meet & greet: Washington DC


Meredith was selected from www.geturgoodon.org and brought 2 of her friends to the meet & greet. She started volunteering with her mom a year and a half ago as cat socializers at the Washington Animal Rescue League (WARL). She plays with the cats, loves them, and takes care of them. Last Spring, her school put on a production of 101 Dalmatians! Kids. Because the musical was all about dogs, she convinced the directors to donate part of the ticket profits to WARL, they donated $400. The second group that met Miley are members of Volunteer Frederick. Nichelle is a leader of the Youth Action Corps (YAC) and earned over 150 service hours last year. She has led hunger awareness projects, environmental projects, volunteered at the animal shelter, HorseNet Rescue, etc. Jordyn is a member of the YAC, Jr and she earned over 50 service hours. Shes a regular volunteer at Citizen's Nursing Home where she helps with Bingo and crafts. Brittany is also a member of the YAC, Jr through Girl Scout's she has participated in projects at the nursing home where they made Christmas Cards and went caroling, she baked pies at Thanksgiving and donated them to the Soup Kitchen.
