Sonic the Hedgehog 4 has finally been released, starting off with Episode 1. The game had been delayed several times over, without a release date ever stated until completion. Sega listened to both the positive and the negative comments from the fanbase as a means of fixing and keeping things within the game. Unfortunately, this title uses Sonic Rush's physics, which often leave the game hard to play. This video was made to show what can be done in Episode 1, while also comparing how things are done in the first two Sonic titles. Hopefully something can be done to change the physics back to the classics for future episodes. An explanation of certain events in the video: 1) When using the Spin Dash, Sonic will come to a complete stop if he drops to even a slightly lowered part of the ground. In the classic titles, he will continue to keep spinning until he has slowed to a halt or run into something. 2) If the player does not hold down the direction they want Sonic to go while in the air, he will drop straight down. Even when pushed by a spring, he will not move any further than the player has him move. The classic titles launched Sonic much further if he was not being guided by the player. 3) If the player is rolled into a ball and attempts to climb up a slope, they will not get very far up, regardless of the amount of speed built up on a flat surface. Sonic will also slow down, rather than gain speed the more he attempts to go back and forth. In Episode 1, it appears <b>...</b>

I bought it! :) I'm gonna get it for the 360 to! the game costs $15. it's worth it if your a sonic fan or fanboy/girl who enjoys licking sonics taint and balls. Lol. It's better then i thought it was gonna be. It's not the best sonic game ever but it sure as hell aint the worst! I wish i could use the classic controller i bought though. The wiimote sideways isn't quite the best.

This is the game we've all been waiting for for 16 years! Sonic the hedgehog 4, episode 1! I'll be let's playing the xbox 360 version, not in HD though, the reason for that is because of my dazzle, it can't record in HD lol...oh well. At least it's a fun watch! Hopefully at least xD.

This one can be either easy or hard. This stage is pretty mazelike with lots of ring gates. Best advice I can give is to grab just about every ring you can find. There are lots of gates to open and you pretty much need to grab as much rings as you can to unlock your way to the emerald. Also it would be to your benefit to unlock the final gate holding the emerald before even reaching there since by the time you get there, you'll most likely be pretty low on time and the bumpers near the final groups of rings can be a real hassle.

Sonic the hedgehog 4 Intro's Our hedgehog's tale begins as Sonic's animal friends start disappearing from South Island. Soon after, Sonic discovers that the evil scientist Doctor Eggman has been kidnapping them and turning them into robots - all as part of a plot to collect a legendary treasure known as the Chaos Emeralds. Sonic decides it's up to him to save them, and embarks on a quest to free his friends. As Sonic and Eggman clash throughout many different zones, Sonic eventually pursues Eggman to the Final Zone, where the first in many epic battles between them begins. A clarification, in case my wording causes any confusion: StH4 ain't gonna be a 16-bit game (as the screenshots obviously show), but the graphics are essentially glorified Genesis Sonic stuff, as far as I can tell. So, to me, that means the game shouldn't be full price, though I'd agree that $10 would be a bit of a bargain. $10 for MM9 was one too, of course... It was animated over an actual gameplay video of S&K that I recorded. It was designed as a graphical demo to see how well classic Sonic gameplay and level design would adapt to 2.5D. This was made over the course of about 2-3 weeks from scratch inbetween other work (excluding render times, which were fairly short anyway).
