This one will really help you get to sleep. In this video there is no talking, just the sounds of my back porch and the soft whispering of the sand against the glass and paper. I like this video, it's one of my favorite so far. Just sit back and relax as I pour sand over some construction paper and then run my fingers and hands through it for a few minutes. Don't forget that little pointer needle too! This video has lots of scratching and tapping and gentle "whooshing" noises that I think many people will really enjoy.

Skellig Michael, the larger and higher of the two, rising 714 feet almost vertically out of the Atlantic ocean and 8 miles from the mainland, has to be one of the most incredible and fascinating places in the world. An Island of breathtaking scenic beauty rich in natural wonders and also steeped in history. During the 6th century St. Fionan founded a monastic settlement on the Island, an incredible feat of engineering for this period in history. Stone steps, laid by the monks, rising 200 metres above their landing sites at sea level. At this height, stone terraces were built upon which they constructed their monastic settlement consisting of stone built beehive cells, retaining walls, two oratories, a church, cross slabs and two wells. The Natures Soothing Sounds device has its own volume control witch helps to bring the proper level to the other device, in this case a Yamaha CS-5 Analog Synth. Relax and enjoy the sound of the ocean W/O music, watch and listen to the calming soothing music of waves crashing. I filmed this peaceful atmospheric scene on the rocky shoreline of Ireland's northwest coast. The rugged coastline in this part of the country is so inspirational, a mixture of sandy beaches, stoney pebble beaches, craggy rocks and cliffs. Just around the corner from where I filmed this scene lie what are believed to be Europe's highest seacliffs, rising 610m straight up out the sea. This video was filmed from the window of a wonderful independent hostel called Dooey Hostel, it is in Glencolmcille, County Donegal, Ireland. From moment to moment the landscape takes on a completely different feel as the weather never stays the same for very long, making this one of the most spectacular places to be. I was captivated by the meditative quality of the sea as it rose and fell, pulsating, a slave to the pull of the moon. A symphony of sound filled the air. The hypnotic stillness and silence of this reflecting pool is punctuated by drops of water falling from the caves vaulted ceiling, The tiny voice of each drop hitting the waters surface magnified and echoing throughout the empty cavernous space, produces a captivating symphony of sound. Recorded in real time (10mins. 1sec.) this work was filmed on a 35mm stills camera, incidentally capturing a slice of geological history. The still image and sporadic spacing of sound distorts our perception of time. This video Notions of silence 1, is one of two works which were shown as part of an exhibition entitled Sequence, along with works by Darren Almond, Padraig Cunningham, Roisin Loughrey and Margo McNulty. Notions of silence 1 and 2, were projected on two 16 x 9 screens on facing walls of a vast warehouse. This piece has been influenced by works by Yves Klein's Monotone symphony, John Cage's "4'33",The tibetan book of the dead, Gary Zukov's "The dancing Wu Li masters", Barrnet Newman, Mark Rothko, and Jackson Pollock. I envisage showing this work as a projection on the floor of an exhibition space, adding an unsettling dimension to the piece as the ripples radiate outwards towards the viewer. From Soothing Sounds for Baby, Volume 3 - 12-18 Months. Soothing Sounds for Baby (1964) is a three-volume set of ambient electronic music by American composer, musician, and inventor Raymond Scott. Scott originally intended to lull infants to sleep with the music, but later generations have found value in the music for its minimalist aspects, often comparing it to the works of Brian Eno, Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream despite having predated such artists by more than a decade. Originally released in collaboration with the Gesell Institute of Human Development, the volumes are split up into three age groups: Volume 1 is 1 to 6 months; Volume 2 is 6 to 12 months; and Volume 3 is 12 to 18 months. The music gets more complex with each volume. Scott created much of the music on the albums with instruments he created, such as the Electronium and the Clavivox. "Particularly on Soothing Sounds for Baby, Scott proved to be one of the first composers to merge the Brave New World of electronic sounds with a rhythmic pop sensibility."
