Carnival Plastic Sopranino Ukulele
Two famous "German songs" on my new toy ukulele which actually isn't a toy as you can hear. You can't really tell from this video, but the Carnival sopranino really is a lot smaller than a soprano. J.-S. Bach, Bourree on sopranino recorder
Bach's Bourree in E-minor is supposed to be played on lute, or at least on a guitar but then I took it as an exercise for the recorder. At some point I switched from soprano to sopranino, so the piece is no longer in E but rather in A-minor, as I guess. You can notice that I try to play the repeating parts with a different phrasing. An exercise for phrasing, it is. The prima volta is played with short phrases, kind of a dance. The seconda volta is more mellow, with longer phrases. Probably I committed some abomination to Bach's music, my only excuse is that at some point, after approximately 2 months of playing it, I really felt in love with this piece. Played on Ariel sopranino recorder. The video is taken with an old Nikon Coolpix camera, the audio recorded with Zoom H4 (which you can see on the table). I still have to figure out how to make the recording of the flute on Zoom H4 louder!

Sopranino Ukulele Comparison: Tangi vs Ohana
As requested on UU (ukuleleunderground.com/forum), here is a comparison video between the Tangi Manini and Ohana sopraninos. A sopranino is a small-sized ukulele, smaller than the standard soprano. I'm sorry to not have the Tangi Gecko (a mango sopranino) to compare, but hey, what can ya do? Please comment on this with your opinion. Thank you!

Well, this is the first time I play and own a sopranino saxophone. Never thought, that it would be such fun to play it. The recording was done in my practice room with a Boss Micro Br using the on board micro.The text is a little icronic. I know, it is not perfect, but it is ok. So, I'm just kidding. :)

Complete with airplane flyover noise, for that authentic Baroque experience! I had to "arrange" this (some would say "hack") fairly extensively for the Mountain G warmstone inline ocarina. In any case, it's by memory and by ear, with modifications freely added, so if it doesn't much resemble the original, you were warned! Audio recorded on American Audio pocket digital recorder.

Garden Improvisation (Sopranino Ukulele)
I had a few minutes to video something. I'd never recorded anything on my sopranino, so I filmed myself just messing about, relaxing for a few minutes. The audio was recorded straight into the camera (I usually use my Zoom H2). Sorry about the poor sound quality. Lots of background noise too: traffic noise, aircraft, battalion of tanks, etc. It was a lovely day: cold but sunny. I'm sitting on a bag of compost.

On April 2007 I have organized a theatrical show with a group of 15 young recorder players from Israel. The show is called "Discovering the Recorder" and was written by my israeli friend and coleague Asnat Goldfarb-Arzuan who has also prepared the young group,directed it and together with me performed in the acting parts as well.
