Unwrapped is a performance in two parts with both open-air and indoor performances and events. Through a specially made landscape of images, music, performance and dance, it celebrates work created by local artists and groups of all ages. Unwrapped marks the lighting of the Tallaght Christmas Tree by Mayor Eamonn Maloney. Unwrapped is a creative partnership between South Dublin County Council; South Dublin Music Education Service, South Dublin Libraries; Tallaght Community Arts; Alternative Entertainments; RUA RED, South Dublin Arts Centre; CONTACT Studio; and the Civic Theatre, Tallaght Unwrapped has been made possible by the support of Mayor Eamonn Maloney and the Members of South Dublin County Council. Additional support has been provided by artist, Eamon Colman, whose exhibition Before the dark gets stronger than the light shows in RUA RED Gallery 1 until December 4th.

Merritt Bucholz was born in Chicago in 1966 and has been living and working in Dublin since 1995. He opened his architectural practice Bucholz McEvoy Architects with Karen McEvoy in and together they have won a myriad of design awards.The ability to think abstractly, in a non-linear way, to assemble things that are seemingly contradictory and give them new meaning — that's the genius of the architect according to Merritt who is currently the inaugural Professor of Architecture at the University of Limerick. He was previously visiting professor at Harvard University, and has lectured at Princeton University, Cornell University, the School of Architecture at University College Dublin and Dublin Institute of Technology. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University.TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." This animation was created by artist Maeve Clancy and features music by Michael Fleming and Gerry Horan. It was commissioned for an event featuring young dancers from 6th class in St. Colmcille's SNS, Knocklyon (choreographed by Louise Costelloe). Supported by South Dublin County Council's Arts Office. The music was mixed and mastered in CONTACT Studio, based in RUA RED Arts Centre in Tallaght.

The Gala opening of The Fighting Irishmen exhibit at Croke Park Stadium in Dublin. The legacy of Fighting Irishmen will be illustrated in an exhibition to be hosted by the GAA Museum and the Irish Arts Center, at the historic Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland this summer. The exhibit tells the story of Irish emigration and assimilation to eventual success and world wide acclaim through the sport of boxing. The exhibition The Fighting Irishmen: Celebrating Celtic Prizefighters 1820 to Present - will run from Tuesday, May 18th through Tuesday, August 31st, 2010. The exhibit features a number of my paintings including The Fighting Irishmen Mural, John Duddy and Frank Moran. The Fighting Irishmen has had extraordinary success since opening at the Irish Arts Center in the fall 2006. It has been the subject of a feature documentary by the BBC, which aired in Northern Ireland during the holiday season of 2006. It was the highest rated program in that time slot in the history of the BBC, Northern Ireland. The exhibit featured at the South Street Seaport Museum in New York as their main attraction in 2007 and was then at the John J. Burns library at Boston College in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2009 the exhibit travelled to Omargh, County Tyrone and now in 2010 the exhibit has travelled to Dublin, to Croke Park Stadium. At each venue, the exhibit has attracted widespread media coverage from TV, radio and print media. .

A multi-instrumentalist who gained a reputation as a gifted and charismatic live performer, Rory Gallagher's albums have sold in excess of 30 million copies worldwide.

TIME what makes us tick? is it our inner clock, or are we part of a gigantic clockwork regulating our daily moves? Observed on a human scale, the very basic rhythm of every day is sunset and sunrise, we go in to bed and out of bed. A rhythm, so elementary and universal and at the same time so intimate. This is an impression of Sync' by Max Hattler and 'Bedrooms' bij Nelleke Koop with music by Dennis van Tilburg. These were part of the 'Time, what makes us tick?' installation in the Open Mind series of Pavlov E-Lab, presented on the Noorderzon Performing Arts festival 2010. In this edition Max and Nelleke collaborated with chronobiologist Martha Merrow and physicist Eric Bergshoeff in their mutual exploration of the theme of Time.
