This spinach dish called "sigeumchi namul" a side dish that Koreans eat with rice. It'll be good recipe for vegetarians. full recipe: www.maangchi.com Ingredients: • 1 bunch of spinach • 2 cloves of garlic • 1 green onion • 1.5 tbs of soy sauce • sesame oil and sesame seeds Directions: 1. In boiling water, add 1 ts of salt and blanch a bunch of spinach for 30 seconds after removing dead the leaves and roots. 2. Drain the cooked spinach and rinse it in cold water 3 times, and squeeze it gently to get the water out. 3. Cut the spinach a few times and set it aside. 4. Place 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 chopped green onion, 1.5 tbs of soy sauce and ½ tbs sesame oil in a large bowl and mix them all up with a spoon. 5. Place the spinach into the sauce and mix by hand. 6. Transfer the spinach onto a serving plate and sprinkle ½ tbs of toasted sesame seeds.

Ultimate Spinach is an obscure 60s Psychedelic/Hard Rock/Blues group from Boston, Massachusetts, similar to the likes of The Lost, Front Page Review, Country Joe & the Fish, Orpheus, Mandrake Memorial, Earth Opera, Boston Tea Party, The Beacon Street Union, and Jefferson Airplane. Ultimate Spinach was formed in 1967 and comprised keyboardist/guitarist Ian Bruce-Douglas and singer Barbara Hudson. The music is undeservedly forgotten. Despite suffering claims of dishonesty, they published technically sophisticated but also musically fascinating albums. On Ultimate Spinach (MGM, 1968) the standout cuts are Ballad Of The Hip Death Goddess, with an instrumental interval for theremin (an early electronic instrument), feedback and reverberation, the psychoanalytic folk-blues PlayEgo Trip, the 4-part suite PlaySacrifice of the Moon, as well as PlayYour Head Is Reeling and the Frank Zappa-esque — but less nasty than he typically was — Plastic Raincoats. While there was a rumor that Bruce-Douglas had been taken to court by Country Joe McDonald for having copied The Masked Marauder in his PlayBaroque #1, this was pure fantasy. More complex compositions such as the suite in four movements Genesis of Beauty and PlayFragmentary March of Green, two pieces soaked in mysticism, enliven the second album Behold & See (MGM, 1968). Popeye is trying to get his nephews to eat their spinach, so he tells them about how Hercules (Popeye) defeated a bully (Bluto). Hercules gets his strength by sniffing garlic; he wins numerous tests of strength against the bully until the bully spots him sniffing garlic. The bully pulls out a handy bottle of chlorophyll and douses the garlic, disabling Hercules. He then knocks him into a field of spinach where Hercules discovers a new and better source of strength. The boys are taking Olive on a picnic. It's April 1, and Bluto plays a series of "jokes" on Popeye, though of course they go beyond the bounds of acceptability, particularly once they get to the picnic grounds; Bluto puts gasoline on the fire he asks Popeye to light and swaps a beehive for the lemonade. Bluto then launches a cruel joke against Olive and frames Popeye. The capper: he replaces Popeye's spinach with a joke can, and runs off with Olive for some canoeing. Popeye and Bluto compete for a spot in Olive Oyl's band in this cartoon that attempts to bring the series back to its Fleischer Studios roots through the use of improvised dialogue spoken with no lip movement from the characters. Olive is more fickle in this cartoon than she usually is. She lets Bluto come close to kissing her on the lips on several occasions, but then suddenly objects to him planting a kiss on her shoulder. The spinach sample that Popeye eats is from an envelope that is actually addressed to Famous Studios. This version has the original Paramount titles.

Famous Studios Popeye the Sailor cartoon. This is one of many cheater films in the Popeye series, and the first to reuse footage from Famous Studios Popeye shorts. In this one, Olive wants to take Popeye's nephews to lunch at Popeye's Spinach Heaven, but the boys would rather eat at Wimpy's Hamburger Haven. In order to convince the boys that Spinach is better than hamburgers, Popeye tells his nephews about the times that Spinach had helped him in his previous motion pictures, and so, we are treated to flashbacks from "The Anvil Chorus Girl", "Pop-Pie a La Mode" and "She-Sick Sailors". Modern TV airings in the USA edit out the footage from "Pop-Pie a La Mode" and the new animation before and after it in order to hide the edit as this footage is now deemed racist.

Famous Studios Popeye the Sailor cartoon. This is one of those cartoons where you can tell that the animators had fun with the plot. This is another one of those where Popeye tells his nephews a story to teach them the importance of spinach. For the second time, Popeye tells his nephews the story of "Jack and the Beanstalk" (the first was in 1943's "Ration fer the Duration"), but this time Popeye puts himself in the story in place of Jack. Notice how Popeye's appearance in the story is that of his adult self wearing boys' clothing. On almost all other occasions where Popeye would tell a story about his childhood, he would appear in the story looking like a child. Aside from the hilarious sight to see an adult version of Popeye in boys' clothing, it gives the impression that Popeye's story is pure nonsense. However, the surprise ending reveals that for once, Popeye actually told a true story.
