Here begins my Spyro the Dragon walkthrough for PlayStation 1. Unlike my other walkthroughs, this time the game is emulated. Played on ePSXe, recorded with HyperCam and edited with Sony Vegas. I love Spyro because it's not only fun, it has very little dialogue and very few cutscenes. It's 98% of FUN gameplay. You don't need epic tales, the point is to jump, glide, headbash and flame through levels saving dragons, collecting gems and beating enemies. Reviewers have said Spyro 3 was just Spyro 1 and 2 all over again, and why shouldn't it be? If I wanted to play something else than Spyro, I would play something else. When I want to play Spyro, I play Spyro, and it's even better if the same game lasts for 3 games. Redefining video game series and video gaming itself is overrated. Look what came out of Fahrenheit. FAIL! Anyway, here's the original classic.

This is a collection of 56 segments showing how to get into unusual places, avoid paying moneybags in all but 5 cases (the required cases are 5 more of the 56 segments), stunts, and a few other unusual things, and it's all thanks to a bug I discovered. This video spans 23 2/3 minutes and is split up into 3 parts to work around the 10-minute limit. Some narration is included, but mainly just identifying what the segment is of and its ID number. The first part has the first 26 oddities and has the first of 5 required payments to moneybags.

The first boss of the game, Buzz stops Spyro from reaching Midday Garden World. I don't know why I failed so miserably against Buzz. He's actually really easy, and when I had to replay the game to re-record the later lost bits, I beat him without taking any damage.

Third Home world. 2 thiefs and a bunch of wizards who think they're sneaky with their level changing powers. The weird green mages who cast thundara are the trickiest enemies in the game, I think. Whereas other enemies take a bit of time before they actually attack, these mages attack fast, and their attack is also fast. I mean, they don't take their time to show that they're attacking, and the attack itself is so fast it's hard to dodge. It's also hard to dodge because it just... hits. It's fast, fast, hard to dodge and hard to dodge because it's fast. But other than that, this place is easy. I had more trouble with Peace Keepers home because I didn't realize I was supposed to shoot the big rock pillar to create the platform and I had epic trouble finding the Ice Cavern portal.
