Good Intentions 1of3 Introduction and Public Schools with Walter Williams

Walter Williams' PBS documentary Good Intentions based on his book, The State Against Blacks (1982). The documentary was very controversial at the time it was released and led to many animosities and even threats of murder. In Good Intentions, Dr. Williams examines the failure of the war on poverty and the devastating effect of well meaning government policies on blacks asserting that the state harms people in the US more than it helps them. He shows how government anti-poverty programs have often locked people into poverty making the points that: - being forced to attend 3rd rate public schools leave students unprepared for working life - minimum wages prevent young people from obtaining jobs at an early age - licensing and labor laws have had the effect of restricting entrance of blacks into the skilled trades and unions - the welfare system creates perverse incentives for the poor to make bad choices they otherwise would not Dr. Williams presents the following solutions to these problems: Failing Public Schools - Give parents greater control over their children's education by setting up a tuition tax credit or voucher system to broaden competition in turn revitalizing both public and non-public schools Minimum Wages - Remove the minimum wage from youngsters to give more young people the chance to learn the world of work at an early age instead spending their free time idle an possibly falling into the habits of the street Restrictive Labor Laws, Jobs Programs ...

Wisconsin State Fair - First Hate Crime Charges Filed Against Black Thugs

WEST ALLIS - An African-American teenager has been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery with a hate crime enhancer, the West Allis Police Department announced Thursday. A week ago, the boy, 16, was arrested during mob attacks in and around the Wisconsin State Fair Park. "[The suspect] was conveyed to Milwaukee County Children's Court Center after being arrested at his residence...in the City of Milwaukee," West Allis Police Chief Michael Jungbluth said in a news release. "His mother, who was cooperative with arresting officers, was present on scene at the time of his arrest." "During an in-custody Mirandized statement, the juvenile admitted his involvement in relation to the robbery cases in the City of West Allis that occurred after the closing of the midway at the Wisconsin State Fair on opening day. The juvenile also admitted to involvement in another incident where he walked on the hood, roof, and trunk of a vehicle stopped in traffic; however, this incident is still under investigation." The suspect told investigators that white people were chosen because they were "easy targets" and that he "was going along with the crowd." An investigation into the attacks at State Fair is ongoing.

Rep. Sally Kern (R-OK): Blacks Are In Prison Because They Don't Want To Work Hard

4/27/11: Rep. Sally Kern, R-Oklahoma City, arguing in favor of an anti-affirmative action bill. TRANSCRIPT: We have heard tonight already that in prison there's more black people. Yes, there are, and that's tragic, it's tragic that our prisons here in Oklahoma, what are they, 99% occupancy? But the other side of the story, perhaps this is something we need to consider: is this just because they are black that they're in prison or because they don't want to work hard in school? White people oftentimes don't want to work hard in school, or Asians, oftentimes. A lot of times, that's what happens. I've taught school for twenty years, and I saw a lot of people of color who didn't want to work as hard, they wanted it given to them. As a matter of fact I had one student who said, "I don't need to study, you know why? Because the government is gonna care of me." That's kind of revealing there. Equal opportunity, not equal results.

Walter Williams: Up From the Projects

In 1981, Secretary of Health Education and Welfare Patricia Harris wrote in the Washington Post that libertarian economists Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell are "middle class" so they "don't know what it is to be poor." In fact, Williams grew up in a single-parent household in a poor section of Philadelphia. He was raised by his mother, who was a high school dropout. The family spent time on welfare, and eventually moved into the Richard Allen public housing project. (Sowell, whose father died before he was born, was the son of a maid.) Drafted into the peacetime Army, Williams eventually earned a PhD from UCLA in the late 1960s and quickly became a sought-after researcher and public intellectual. His best known book, 1982's The State Against Blacks, argues that a major cause of black unemployment is government intervention in the labor market. Williams' contrarian views have had wide exposure through documentaries, public appearances, and for the past 30 years, a syndicated weekly column. Since 1992, Williams has also been a frequent guest host of Rush Limbaugh's radio show. Now a professor emeritus at George Mason University, Williams has taught at Temple University, California State University-Los Angeles, and other universities. (Go here for his personal web page.) His new book, Up from the Projects: An Autobiography, is a fascinating look at his childhood, his half-century-long marriage to his recently departed wife, his unusual career path, and the genesis of his ...

He is an expert on discrimination, labor policy, regulation, and South Africa as well as a well-known columnist and the author of South Africa's War Against Capitalism (1989), The State Against Blacks (1982), and More Liberty Means Less Government (1999). In this video Williams speaks to a group of law students at the University of Virginia in 1992 and gives a general overview of his libertarian beliefs, which stem from his understanding that the state is a coercive actor. Walter E. Williams on the Decline of Morality in Society

In this video from a 1994 Atlas Economic Research Foundation event, economist and columnist Walter E. Williams talks about the coercive power of government and it's role in undermining social moral priorities. Williams says that this happens when government lumps trivial offenses (he uses an example of Virginia residents being fined for not recycling) with barbaric ones. Walter E. Williams is the John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics at George Mason University and an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute. He is a well-known columnist and the author of South Africa's War Against Capitalism (1989), The State Against Blacks (1982), Do the Right Thing: The People's Economist Speaks (1995), and More Liberty Means Less Government (1999). 黑人學生攻擊在美國的中國留學生. While the national media will show the SMALL amount of crimes against blacks by supposed whites, the two "hate crimes" turned out not to be by whites, but by George Zimmerman, a Latino, and the other crime by a Native American Cherokee, Jake England, in Tulsa Oklahoma, the media NEVER focus national news on the crimes African-Americans do against Jews, Asians, East Indians, Arabs, Yemenis, Hispanics or whites. In 2009 dozens of Asian students who were attacked and beaten at South Philadelphia High School by black students last week have opted not to return to school on Monday over concerns for their safety. Wien Chen, president of the Chinese American Student Association, released a statement Sunday saying the students will instead meet and discuss "real solutions" to address violence at the school. "It is our opinion that South Philadelphia High School is still not a safe place for us," read the statement. "Because we are Asian immigrants, we are targeted. We have been working with the school a long time, but the school has failed to provide a concrete plan to address our safety inside and outside the building." School District officials and police held a meeting with the students on Friday evening but the group said the meeting did little to address their concerns or ease fears. Tensions between black and Asian students at the school erupted in a series of assaults last week, leading to 10 suspensions and several students seeking medical ...

Brawl at Central State University (Historically Black College & University - HBCU)

Newslink: www.daytondailynews.com ***Disclaimer - I DO NOT own the video posted above or the article posted below*** DAYTON, OHIO — A brawl broke out at a fraternity party that police said specifically featured Wilberforce University and Central State University students early Saturday morning. The incident — which police said drew between 100 and 200 people to the IUE-CWA Hall, 313 S. Jefferson St. — resulted in one arrest and was only quieted after officers received assistance from other law enforcement agencies. Attendees at the scene said numerous representatives from fraternities in Ohio were also at the yearly party, including those from Wright State University, the University of Dayton, Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati. According to a police report, "There were several officers trying to de-escalate the situation. Officers were being pushed up against the wall. There were tables and chairs being thrown in the air." Fran Robinson, a spokeswoman for Central State, said Saturday she had no knowledge of the incident and could not comment directly. Attempts to reach a spokesperson from Wilberforce were unsuccessful. As of Saturday night, one person had been arrested in connection with the brawl. Darryl Wayne Williams, 22, was arrested on suspicion of a felony-level assault offense, as well as misdemeanor-level offenses for failure to disperse and disorderly conduct. Two people were reportedly taken to a nearby hospital. There were no reports of guns at ...

Mob beatings at WI state fair - Hundreds of young black people beating white people

Witnesses: Fairgoers 'pulled out of cars'. 'They were just going after white people'. WEST ALLIS - Witnesses tell Newsradio 620 WTMJ and TODAY'S TMJ4 of a mob of young people attacking innocent fair-goers at the end of the opening night of State Fair, with some callers claiming a racially-charged scene. "It looked like they were just going after white guys, white people," said Norb Roffers of Wind Lake in an interview with Newsradio 620 WTMJ. He left the State Fair Entrance near the corner of South 84th Street and West Schlinger Avenue in West Allis. "It was 100% racial," claimed Eric, an Iraq war veteran from St. Francis who says young people beat on his car. "I had a black couple on my right side, and these black kids were running in between all the cars, and they were pounding on my doors and trying to open up doors on my car, and they didn't do one thing to this black couple that was in this car next to us. They just kept walking right past their car. They were looking in everybody's windshield as they were running by, seeing who was white and who was black. Guarantee it." Eric, a war veteran, said that the scene he saw Thursday outside State Fair compares to what he saw in combat. "That rated right up there with it. When I saw the amount of kids coming down the road, all I kept thinking was, 'There's not enough cops to handle this.' There's no way. It would have taken the National Guard to control the number of kids that were coming off the road. They were knocking ...

Voter photo ID: Democrats, voter fraud, one of the same

Recent article appearing in The Dallas Morning News (DMN) headlined: "Groups push for US to void Texas voter ID law." - The article states a group called "Advancement Project" has filed a suit stating the voter photo ID law in Texas, signed by Governor Rick Perry (Republican) violates federal civil rights law. They maintain having to show a photo ID to vote "intentionally discriminates against black and Hispanic voters." How is it showing a photo ID discriminates only against blacks and Hispanics, but not Caucasian, Native Americans or Americans of Asian descent? Is the group "Advancement Project" stating they believe only blacks and Hispanics engage in voter fraud? Is that accusation in itself discriminatory? In recent years Democrats across the nation have governed against the will of the people. To the Democratic leadership, the will of the people, our Constitution, the security of our nation, are all to be subverted for the good of the Party. Many state legislatures trying to enact voter photo ID legislation have been facing opposition from the Democratic Party. Democrats claim it would hurt the poor who do not have nor can afford photo ID. Hooey! Many states have provisions to provide free voter photo ID for those who can not afford to purchase one. The Texas plan is to even allow the poor to show a utility bill. But the Democrats will have none of that. They do not want to do anything that would interfere or threaten their voter base. Hate crimes: Racist Blacks beat up Whites at Wisconsin State Fair

There are two new developments in the State Fair mob attacks. West Allis Police are now looking into the possibility of adding the hate crime enhancer. Also, more 911 audio has been released from the State Fair mob attacks. The audio shows that even law enforcement can be overwhelmed at times. More than 20 minutes of audio was released by West Allis Police Department. Through a news release the West Allis Police Department announced investigators may be recommending hate crime charges for 11 open cases. In those 11 incidents the victims describe their attackers as African American and police say all the victims were Caucasian or Hispanic. "Hi, I'm calling because my kids came from the state fair and they were attacked by a group of black people that opened the car door and started punching them," one woman tells the dispatcher. Caller: There's just random mobs of people you just need to get police out here. Operator: How many people? Caller: I mean there are groups of 20 chasing after some white guy. In order for a hate crime to be charged it must first meet the definition. That's when an attacker intentionally selects his or her victim based on characteristics like race or religion. Police say they don't have anyone in custody in connection with those 11 cases yet, but believe race was a factor in all of them.

WHY was post Civil War/Reconstruction slavery against Blacks worse than the slavery which preceded it? Blacks were previously considered an investment by slave-owners and thus accorded @ least marginal care to the extent they could continue performing their tasks. With the introduction of these new forms of slavery ZERO consideration was given as to their care since their labor was now treated as disposable wherein death simply meant they would be quickly & callously replaced by another. From the acclaimed book by author Douglas A. Blackmon comes the expanded story of Black American slavery in the United States (not in your kids history books) which contrary to popular belief did NOT end with the Civil War the Emancipation Proclamation or the 13th Amendment to the Constitution. In reality an even more oppressive & insidious form of bondage/systemic oppression/racial persecution ensued continuing well into the 20th century via these new brutal forms of slavery. Slavery By Another Name exposes myths while informing & enlightening as to the continued horrors Black Americans suffered @ the hands of unconscionable men of enormous greed & very little character - its reach extending well beyond the Civil War & Reconstruction into the 20th century toward the second World War and with it having emerged as the dark era of Jim Crow. BLACK MEN: MOST HATED, MOST FEARED MOST IMITATED

DO YOU KNOW WHY THERE ARE MORE BLACK MEN IN JAIL THAN ANYONE ELSE? IT'S NOT BECAUSE THEY COMMIT MORE CRIMES! The racists among us, blatant and closeted, will be quick to attribute the imprisonment disparity to the misguided belief that blacks are inherently prone to criminality. I've seen no valid studies supporting that view. Blacks are disproportionately targeted, stopped, arrested, prosecuted, sentenced to long mandatory prison terms and executed. A study by the California Judicial Council Advisory Committee on Racial and Ethnic Bias in the Courts found that the justice system gives little attention or resources to investigating crimes against minorities and that minority defendants receive harsh treatment compared to white defendants in similar circumstances. The study also found that black-on-black crime or Latino-on-Latino crime is not taken as seriously as crimes against whites. Judges seem to believe that violence is more "acceptable" to black women because they are viewed as coming from violent communities. A study by the Washington, DC-based Sentencing Project, which tracks the demographics of who in our society goes to prison and for what kinds of crimes, found that black men are going to jail in record numbers due to a surge in arrests for non-violent drug offenses. The Sentencing Project also found that in 1993, 88% of those sentenced federally for crack cocaine distribution were black, while only 4.1% of the defendants were white. Israel: "NO BLACKS ALLOWED!"

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz mysteriously removed from its website an article exposing atrocious Israeli racism against black people just hours after it was published. www.scribd.com The article by David Sheen -- a copy of which was made by The Electronic Intifada before Haaretz deleted it -- reported on a rally by Israeli Jews on Sunday in Tel Aviv against African immigrants, demanding that they be sent home because Israel is a "Jewish state." The rally was addressed by Michael Ben-Ari, a member of the Israeli parliament from the National Union party which also favors expelling Palestinians "We have come to expunge the darkness" The deleted article stated: The demonstrators chanted "The people demand the expulsion of the infiltrators," "We have come to expunge the darkness," and "Tel Aviv is for Jews, Sudan is for Sudanese." Ben Ari criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu for allowing African migrants to remain in the county after they had already entered in recent years. He called Netanyahu's cabinet "the blackest government ever for Tel Aviv." Shocking video of hate rally Video taken at the rally and posted on YouTube by Sheen, shows some of the vile racism, including by Knesset member Michael Ben-Ari. Protesters can be heard chanting such slogans as, "Sudanese to Sudan, Tel Aviv is for Jews" and "Their place is in Sudan, not here. This is a Jewish state!" Michael Savage discusses gay marriage with an African American caller on the Savage Nation who explains why blacks are opposed to gay marriage and why they voted overwhelmingly for propostion 8 in the state of california. Proposition 8 was a California ballot proposition passed in the November 4, 2008, general election. It changed the state Constitution to restrict the definition of marriage to opposite-sex couples and eliminated same-sex couples' right to marry, thereby overriding portions of the ruling of In re Marriage Cases. The measure added a new section (7.5) to Article I, which reads: "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California." California's State Constitution put the measure into immediate effect on November 5, the day after the election. The proposition did not affect domestic partnerships in California.

The Tulsa race riot was a large-scale racially motivated conflict between the white and black communities of Tulsa, Oklahoma, including aerial attack, beginning May 31, 1921. During the 16 hours of the assault, over 800 people were admitted to local hospitals with injuries, more than 6000 Greenwood residents were arrested and detained in a prison camp, an estimated 10000 were left homeless, and 35 city blocks composed of 1256 residences were destroyed by fire caused by bombing. As an ignominy of the white community of Tulsa, this riot had since been intentionally omitted, and later been largely forgotten; "The Tulsa race riot of 1921 was rarely mentioned in history books, classrooms or even in private. States' Rights v. Federal Government

This video goes over key Supreme Court cases concerning the issue of individual states' rights verses federal law. Are laws that individual states pass somehow more "libertarian" than laws that the federal government pass? What makes the laws that states pass better or worse than ones that the federal government pass? Many times, laws that the federal government pass are MORE libertarian than the states, and vice versa. Some of the Supreme Court cases I go over are: Baron v. Baltimore (1833), where the Supreme Court ruled that the Bill of Rights are not applicable to states. According to this ruling, the first Ten Amendments only limit what the FEDERAL government can do. The Baron decision contradicts, for instance, the 1989 case Texas v. Johnson, which overturned a Texas law saying that flag burning was illegal The 1873 Slaughterhouse Cases, where butchers got together and fought against a Louisiana-backed monopoly, saying that forcing butchers to do business with this monopoly was a form of "involuntary servitude" -- contradicting the 13th Amendment, and that they were not equal under the law -- contradicting the 14th Amendment. The 13th and 14th Amendment, obviously, were passed to guarantee Blacks more freedom and protection, but the ones who brought the Slaughterhouse case were white makes. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Louisiana' alleged Tenth Amendment right to impose a forceful monopoly. The 1876 case United States v. Cruikshank, where the Supreme Court made ...

Percy Sutton (Malcom X's Lawyer) Says Barack Obama Knows And Was Financed By The Racist Radical Muslim And Saudi Advisor Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour, Part II

www.newsmax.com I have a question; if Barack Obama's not a Muslim, then why does he have a moon in his campaign symbol? Why is a moon in his campaign symbol important? If you look, the highest point on every mosque in the world is a crescent moon. Percy Sutton was Malcom X's lawyer. That's right, Malcom X; one time spokesman for the Nation of Islam, who also happened to be the childhood hero of one Barack Hussein Obama. So according to Mr. Sutton, the radical Dr. al-Mansour, who knew Barack Obama and was raising money for him, calls Mr. Sutton and ask him to write a letter of recommendation to Harvard for his friend Barack Hussein Obama. Now why do you suppose that a radical Muslim, who wants Islam to conquer the world, would be doing spending his time raising money for and asking a letter of recommendation for an ambitious politician named Barack Hussein Obama? Here's some other things from the life and associations of Barack Hussein Obama: Barack Obama's childhood hero, Nation of Islam spokesman Malcolm X said after President Kennedy's assassination that, "chickens are coming home to roost." Barack Obama's spiritual mentor, Jeremiah Wright said after 9/11 that, "America's chickens are coming home to roost." Jeremiah Wright (Obama's spiritual mentor) - "America invented the HIV virus." Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - "America invented the HIV virus." Sounds like Jeremiah Wright (Obama's spiritual mentor) and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are on the same side. Palestinians in the Gaza Strip ...

Highway to Hell

The Avenues, also known as Avenidas or AVE's, is a Hispanic criminal street gang mostly in Los Angeles County, California. The originally started as a social club for local Hispanic youths to protect themselves from other violent youths. The Avenues, like most Mexican gangs in Los Angeles, are under the direct control of the Mexican Mafia when sent to State, County, or Federal prisons. They have a long history, but not all of it is riddled with gang violence and hate. The Avenues were not always violent when they started and rarely ever engaged in illegal activities. They were started by the Flores brothers in the 1940s, but little is known about the bothers. The greatest of their crimes during the 1940's was simple assaults. As time progressed and their numbers increased, they became more violent and started to act like a criminal street gang and not a social club. In the late 1960's, when Heroin started to flood the streets, they turned for the worse and would be forever more labeled a criminal street gang. They increasingly took part in the illegal drug trade and these actions have continued to the present day. The Avenues Gang are well known for their hatred and hate crimes committed against black residents of their hood's.[6][7] They are unwilling to allow even non-gang affiliated blacks move into their Highland Park area. The Avenues gained national attention in 1995, when several members opened fire on a car that made a wrong turn into a Cypress Park alley, killing ...

Black Purdue documentary film

Drawing upon numerous sources, including books on Purdue, newspaper archives, yearbooks and nearly 25 hours of personal interviews with black alumni, this documentary begins at a time when black students were denied campus food and housing, were barred from campus social life, and banned from college sports. It records the subsequent decades of struggle, the on-campus protests in the 1960s and the steady progress over the years that accorded black students equal rights.
Black Native Americans: An untold History.

-READ INFO- Certain Native American tribes had close relations with African Americans, especially those in the Southeast, where slavery was prevalent. Members of the Five Civilized Tribes held enslaved blacks, who migrated with them to the West during Indian Removal in 1830 and later. In peace treaties with the US after the American Civil War, the tribes, which had sided with the Confederacy, were required to emancipate slaves and give them full citizenship rights in their nations. The Black Indians were known as tribal Freedmen, such as Cherokee Freedmen. In addition, some black maroon communities had been allied with the Seminole in Florida and intermarried. The Black Seminole included those with and without Indian ancestry. The Cherokee and Seminole have created controversy in recent decades as they tightened rules for membership in their nations and excluded Freedmen who did not have at least one Indian ancestor on the early 20th century Dawes Rolls. ____________________________________________________________ Until recently, historic relations between Native Americans and African Americans were relatively neglected in United States history studies.[2] At various times, Africans had more or less contact with Native Americans, although they did not live together in as great number as with Europeans. African slaves brought to the United States and their descendants have had a history of cultural exchange and intermarriage with Native Americans and other slaves who ...
