News Report By: Roy Sharon Cannel 10 News Zehava Weiss - "Stoning" February 21, 2012 MY THEORY - I was trying to figure out why the Palestinians would invite videographers and photographers to witness their criminal/terrorist actions. Their high level of perverse hatred/evil plus their low level of intelligence might be one plausible answer. However, I have come up with something else. I suspect that the Arabs were trying to instigate a response from the Jewish drivers (ie a driver pulling a weapon or one who elected to barrel through the mob). IMHO these responses would have been warranted, however, if the Arabs were able to catch such a response on video, they would be able to use it to vilify the people and the State of Israel. Naturally, regardless of how ridiculous the accusations may have been, Israel would nonetheless capitulate and offer some sort of concession to the Palestinians as an appeasement. This is sort of the way things go here. Fortunately nobody was seriously hurt and the "Peace-Loving" Palestinians continue to show their true colors to the world.

Iranian mother of two to be stoned to death - 5 July 2010
CNN reports July 5th 2010. An Iranian human rights activist warns Sakineh Mohammadie Ashtiani, a mother of two, could be stoned to death at any moment under the terms of a death sentence handed down by Iranian authorities. Ashtiani, 42, will be buried up to her chest, according to an Amnesty International report citing the Iranian penal code. The stones that will be hurled at her will be large enough to cause pain but not so large as to kill her immediately. Ashtiani, who is from the northern city of Tabriz, was convicted of adultery in 2006. Taliban is meeting out summary executions in areas under their influence. This, according to a new exclusive footage shown on Dubai-based pan-Arab satellite channel Al Aan TV. A grainy, three and a half minutes clip shows the stoning to death of a woman by a group of Taliban. The clip appeared in one of Alaan's weekly programs (AKTHAR MIN ENWAN) which discussed the implementation of religion for political ends by Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). It is the first time ever that a stoning by TTP is captured on tape in Pakistan. The video was shot recently in Upper Orakzai in Northwest Pakistan by the Taliban itself. It is a rare visual proof of ruthless methods used by Taliban in Pakistan as well as Afghanistan. The show hosted as well Pakistani cleric Sahibzada Fazl Karim, a member of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP). "We do not agree with Taliban, or any other groups or individuals who issue such religious judgments," Mr. Karim added, "This can only be decided by qualified people after the suspect undergoes legal religious trials with legal witnesses." Speaking about the complexity of applying stoning to a suspect, Mr. Karim explains that any doubt will lead to the immediate termination of such punishment. Hundreds visited Joseph's Tomb in Nablus overnight under heavy IDF escort. Among those taking part in the coordinated visit --were members of the Fogel family whose relatives were murdered in Itamar. The end of the visit was less organized, ending with dozens of visitors being forcibly removed by Border Guard Officers when they refused to leave the site and barricaded themselves within the building. One boy was lightly wounded during the evacuation and cared for at the scene. The Livnat family -- widow Shira, parents Noam and Rivkah and the five siblings made their visit after the end of the Shiva. They spent time at the Tomb alone without additional escort. Visitors saw evidence of desecration and vandalism including soot, dirt and a strong smell of urine. The IDF cancelled plans for a visit of four buses from Yitzhar following intel that suggested the visitors planned on barricading themselves at the site and refusing to leave. Yet a group of settler youths led by Meir Brettler succeeded in surprising the forces, reaching the Tomb through the streets of Nablus which then led to riots breaking out at the site at around 4:00 am. IDF and Border Guard forces managed to gather them within the compound and prepared for riots in Nablus. Meanwhile, police patrol cars were brought to the scene. Most of the youths left of their own free will but some had to be removed forcefully by Border Guard Officers.

A 43-year-old Iranian woman will not be stoned to death after an international campaign launched by her children. It is unclear whether the authorities have lifted the death sentence for alleged adultery against Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani or if she faces execution by another means. Mohammadi Ashtiani endured a sentence of 99 lashes after being convicted in May 2006 of conducting an "illicit relationship outside marriage". But her case was reopened when a court in Tabriz suspected her of murdering her husband. She was acquitted, but the adultery charge was reviewed and a death penalty handed down on the basis of "judge's knowledge" -- a loophole that allows for subjective judicial rulings where no conclusive evidence is present. Her case has highlighted the growing use of the death penalty in a country that has executed more than 100 people this year. Her son Sajad, 22, and daughter Farideh, 17, told the Guardian their mother had been unjustly accused and punished for something she did not do, prompting international appeals for the death sentence to be lifted.
