I originally tried this out during 4.06 intermittently before 4.1 hit. The main problem during my early attempts was getting to Kael'Thas without Thaladred up during KT. On my best attempts I would still have him up and could not get KT alone. Phase 3 was hands down the hardest because of the disorient/stun/fear/silence and I simply could not push out enough dps. Once 4.1 hit I didn't even attempt this boss because of the 20 second cd on Word of Glory. So a good time after 4.2 had come out I was bored one Saturday and decided to give it a go. Much to my surprise I was able to get to phase 4 easily with no advisors up. So for the next 3 attempts I had some very good attempts, dying to some dumb mistakes ie. not trinketing disorient off when in a flamestrike. And another attempt where KT came out of the wrong side because of some bad advisor positioning and he dragged that entire sides mobs with him, forcing me to run out and reset. This last attempt wasnt perfect. I made some mistakes, most notably when a phoenix blew up knocking me half way across the room. And again when I was a little eager in the last phase to get to KT I ran in a little to early and ended up getting 2 stacks of the debuff that reduces health. All in all this has been the most fun fight to solo. I spent a good amount of time strategizing the fight, and enjoyed this making the adjustments as well as the difficulty of doing it solo. We 2-Manned this with Fury warrior and Resto shaman. Not that hard aslong as your healer doesn't get mind controlled. We only used one legendary weapon (Staff) for stun immunity. Kael'thas Sunstrider soloed by 80 Death Knight in Heroic Magisters' Terrace. Very easy fight. Just use your army of the dead and gargoyle and he will go down before phoenix comes out. If phoenix comes out just let its duration expire into an egg and kill it. I know my rotation in this is horrible as I was just trying to film the video. this was done before the dk unholy nerf/buff whatever it was. i haven't played since before ulduar patch. A tutorial on how to farm the Ashes of Al'ar from Temptest Keep. With only a 1.7% chance of dropping and a week long lockout, you will need a little bit of skill and luck to snag this treasure. Since this video has been made, it is now very easy to farm this with ANY class. When I began farming this mount mid 4.1, both of us where in mostly 359 gear and a few 346's and the fight was much more difficult as it is today. The day of this kill we had item levels of about 370. Armory: us.battle.net us.battle.net I am certain that most compositions would be able to complete this task so long as both party members can avoid the MC and get certain things dead quickly. This is my 2nd time soloing this boss. At my first kill my ilvl was 365. I think it is even possible with worse gear. I used the legendary mace&shield in this video to absorb the pyroblasts 6:50 but if your gear is much better than mine it's not really necessary. Just use a powerful dmg cd to destroy the [Shock Barrier] (80.000) and interrupt the spell or use a def cd like lay on hands, divine shield or divine protection+(glyph). Haven's first kill of the final boss in Tempest Keep: The Eye. I feel somewhat bummed that we didn't kill him prior to the release of patch 2.3, but at least we were getting him to phases 4-5 consistently before the patch released. I can not deny that the slight reduction of the advisors and weapons HP certainly helped! Either way, I'm glad that this boss has finally been downed. This encounter was certainly more enjoyable than Vashj, and less time was spent learning the fight in comparison. Onward to Mount Hyjal! Notes: -My job for this encounter was to heal the warrior tanking Lord Sanguinar. He was also the MT for Kael'thas. -There's no reason to be close to Theladred. Stay far faaar away. IF you're range DPS'ing him, always keep in mind that he could come after you! He's similar to Buru the Gorger from AQ20. Of course, this can be easier said than done in phase 3. -For the weapons, the staff is killed first followed by the mace. The rest are AoE'ed down, save for the bow which is tanked by a hunter to the side. -Before the staff/mace drop, make sure they're pulled away from the rest of the weapons so that they're easy to loot! -Pay attention for flamestrikes! -If you have the time, it never hurts to loot the other weapons, especially the staff! A very good thing to have if you happen to find yourself out of range of another's staff aura.

Soloing Kael'thas Sunstrider in TK as protwarrior in DPS-Gear (ilvl402, 2p-t13dps) captured on 21-02-2012, done as fury a week earlier, perhaps i'll do it again this week, maybe fraps+edit it. Fight was done without exploiting (kiting through the whole instance). Maybe world1st for a warrior, but i can't assure that. Gear: Pure DPS, hit+exp-cap, 2(4)p-t13, 4piece-bonus is useless, but dps-stats are best to go with. Insignia(if not human)+Souldrinker are a must have. Kingdrums, stamina scroll, flask & bufffood. 7/3/31-specc for Bloodcraze and 2 points in DW since you only need 2ndwind for very few bosses and respeccing every 10 minutes is not effitient. But 2ndwind should make it easier in P3, if you have worse gear i suppose. ----- Phase1 is simple, just place the first two at the doors, kill the rest at their spawn/startpoint. Telonicus should die quick, so you won't get the toy-debuff (rng-stun). Phase2 is just aoe. Heal-mace should die first or at least be interupted. You don't really need the weapons. Shield can be nice if used properly for the 1st+2nd pyroblast, but its a stat-loss. Now play the waiting game and maybe use a bandage (even 2 if you got quickly through the phase). Phase3 is all about zerging Capernian+Telonicus (blowing IR earlier to have it ready sooner for fighting the 3 melee-adds). Her knockback+disorient are annoying, last one should be broken with insignia (crit-stat + maybe reforge for mastery or hit for cap etc). You can't prevent getting the <b>...</b>

4.3 Arcane Mage solos Kael'thas Sunstrider in Tempest Keep " The Eye ". Full encounter. 1080p HD. ilvl399 w/ orange staff equipped at the time of recording vs. The stopwatch on the bottom left I keep pausing/resetting I use to keep track of the time in some phases to know if I have enough time to better line up CD, stall for mana, eat up CD time, etc.etc. The smaller health frame that appears above mine that's linked by a black line is my focus target. The boss mod I was using was bigwigs. Some of the fears were off but the most important ability (Pyroblast) was always accurate. In case anyone doesn't know and is wondering why I wasn't searching through my bags for the weapon.. I have two macros keybinded to equip/use the weapon and another to equip my regular weapon back :P I use this macro to equip the staff and use the ability. Have to click it twice to actually get the buff. /equip Staff of Disintegration /use Staff of Disintegration I switch back to my weapon with another macro /equip Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest and that's it! I've been soloing him roughly every week, and now approach phase 4 and 5 of this fight very differently, making the fight much easier and less dependent on luck. Any fury warriors attempting to solo Kael'thas should incorporate these changes into their attempts. (I've also been using my normal PVE raiding gear, so going out of your way to find alternate weapons to get mending is not necessary.) Phase 1-3: Not much has changed. Do what's done in the video, and be sure to loot the Staff of Disintegration after killing weapons. Phase 4: (Be sure to have Enraged Regeneration and Rallying Cry available for this phase. Use both if you fall to roughly 30% health.) After killing Thaladred, equip the staff (don't forget to use it.) and wait for Kael. Engage Kael roughly where I do, then when he casts his arcane disrupt, switch to your main weapons, blow all your cooldowns, and nuke him, interupting as many fireballs as you can. When he summons his phoenix, stop interupting since he'll be casting Pyroblast very soon (I've had a few attempts where pummel wasn't available for the first pyroblast.) After interupting pyroblast, he'll usually instantly cast arcane disrupt. Use a pvp trinket or Every Man for Himself, and keep nuking. After about 15 <b>...</b>

Kapténx from neptulon solo's Kael'thas Sunstrider in Tempest keep. Using drums of war, agility flask/food and scroll of fortitude and one thing that is needed is a Pvp trinket. Phase 1, killing first mobs so that they will come in the right time so i can kill them one by one. Phase 2, just killing the weapons asap whilst running back to the first add which i'am going to kill from first phase. Phase 3, starting with the "mage", then the engieer and then the third who comes and last the "warrior" Phase 4, avoid useing Wolves and elemental totems u might get Mc'ed cus of it. Phase 5, just avoiding the first gravity. for a certain kill i would have avoided the second aswell but i was too excited to kill him so i didn't care which almost ended up with that i got killed :P

This fight is pure RNG hell condensed into a single encounter. I had been attempting it for a couple of months, dying to chain stuns and disorients followed by 1shotting AoEs. Watching Kripparrian's video is not a replacement for being sharp about what is going on around you and aware of how things affect you and your pet. It's also not a replacement for having the skill to execute. His demonstration is in Beastmaster spec which naturally doesn't flow the fights the same way as Marksman, but the basic strat is the same.
