The Traktor Kontrol S4 DJ System in Action

DMC World Champ DJ Shiftee shows what the upcoming Traktor Kontrol S4 DJ system is capable of, highlighting the powerful new Sample Decks and Loop Recorder in four spectacular mini-routines: 1. Live looping and editing, cue point juggling and jog wheel scratching on the Tetris melody, using dubstep Loopmaster loops. 2. Using one-shots like speech samples and horn-stabs in the S4 Sample Decks to build a set. 3. Triggering synced loops, grabbing them on-the-fly from Diplo's remix of "Flashing Lights" and using the Sample Decks as an additional deck in Traktor. 4. Using live audio playback from the S4 Loop Recorder like a live mix of sequencer automation. For more info on Traktor Kontrol S4, visit www.native-instruments.com Traktor Scratch is authorized for use under license of patents owned by N2IT Holding BV, including US Patent Nos. 7012184 B2 and 7238874 B2.

Aero-TV Talks SportAv EFIS Systems With Dynon Avionics

Popular Sport Aviation EFIS Builder Continues To Push The Envelope Check out a seeming majority of the current crop of LSAs and your likely to see one of Dynon Avionic's uniquely compact experimental EFIS systems aboard. Check out a number of experimental aircraft and you're still likely to see a Dynon in the panels. Dynon Avionics entered the turbulent sport aviation marketplace with the announcement of their EFIS-D10 barely eight years ago. This compact offering packed a lot of EFIS capability into a standard 3-1/8" panel hole, making it an easy choice for pilots looking for lots of info without sacrificing an equivalent amount of panel space. The product began shipping in March 2003, and has since been joined by a follow-on product, a larger form-factor variant as well as a number of engine information system products. The current iteration of the EFIS-D10, called the EFIS-D10A boasts some intriguing safety features... such as an optional Angle-of Attack/Pitot design that alerts pilots of potential stall conditions, as well as an optional Li-ion backup battery which can maintain the instrument's functionality for as long as 2 hours in the event of some mode of power interruption. The unit's basic features revolve around a core 4 inch (diagonal) display that consolidates all basic flight instruments onto a single sunlight-readable, color LCD. Six buttons below the display provide control over instrument configuration, flight functions, and initial calibration chores. A <b>...</b>

Gran Cassa and the interactive instrument Feed-Drum (Part I)

The Feed-Drum is an imperial bass drum with a system of electronic conditioning of the skin conceived by composer Michelangelo Lupone and produced at CRM - Centro Ricerche Musicali, Rome. Through the principle of feed-back, the signal produced by the excitation of the skin was returned to the skin itself in the form of acoustic pressure. The result was the infinite prolongation of the sound. The system controls the damping of the movement of the skin, and therefore the decay rate of the sound, and permits isolation of high frequency modes by the combined action of nodes present on the skin and the amount of feed-back input energy. The design on the skin surface is a simplified map of the oscillatory modes based on the Bessels functions. The map was limited to 13 diameters and 8 nodal circles, the latter divided into even semicircles (to the left) and odd semicircles (to the right). A study of the physical behavior of the instruments, its translation into mathematical models and, subsequently, its stimulation with numeric calculation systems, appears to be the most feasible course to take for achieving specific forms of integration and the transformation or invention of new instruments coherent with present-day musical exigencies. The aim is not to imitate the orchestral instruments for facile virtual utilization (typical limiting commercial trend), but rather to enlarge the knowledge of the vibrational phenomenon, to verify the models and to obtain acoustic confirmation <b>...</b>

How-to Cheap instrument strap-lock (aka "lock picks")

Great Free Tip - How to make your own strap lock system for musical instruments. No modifications required to original buttons/button holes. Can be easily removed/replaced if neccessary. I call 'em "lock-picks". Of course, these don't have to be made from a pick (although I really recommend the nylon material) but guitarists don't go to the hardware store for parts... we can get picks when we get strings.

Trip to Skye - Irish Air on a crane duet concertina

Irish waltz on a Crane Duet concertina (Lachenal 55b) - a traditional tune known as "AIR" on ABC sites. It is also known as "Trip to Skye". Marien Lina - 2009 What is this instrument? Is it a bandonion? No but it´s in the family. The godfather of it is the one row german konzertina. Those concertina inventors (1830-ish) travelled a lot.those days between Berlin, Paris, London, Vienna, Northern Italy and overseas. The primitive wooden concertinas evolved to high quality concertinas in England between 1840 and 1910. Originally the instrument had only 10 buttons and from this instrument different instruments were developed in different countries, such as the German Einheits Bandonium and the bandoneon in Argentina (they are different), in England, Charles Wheatstone found out the 48b English concertina. Later systems are the MacCann duet and also this Crane Duet. As a system my instrument has been developed to facilitate playing melody and chords at the same time. Strangely enough this system (until now) did not make it perhaps because it requires a lot of work before you (I) blindly find the buttons you want to play. In this respect it is similar to learning to play a bandoneon. Time to play a tune now. More tunes to follow...

Kamen Rider IXA - "Fight For Justice ~Individual System~" (SNES Exerpt and PS2 Melodic Ver.)

I added a teasing SNES exerpt at the beginning (Yes, I may consider doing a full version of that sometime in the future when I'd get the chance :) ) This is another PS2/SRW @2 Melodic version of the Kamen Rider IXA battle theme. The exerpt was written in FL Studio, using SNES SPC-700 instruments (From Mega Man X) and while the main song's melody was written using the 3XOSC instrument to emulate the PS2 synth sound, while the rest is the backing track from the original mp3 song. There is another Rider video coming up in the works, so please be patient for it as I find the time to finish writting it. :D Edit: Changed the name to 'Individual System' from the previous typo.

ESOcast 20: Richest planetary system discovered

Astronomers using ESO instruments have discovered a remarkable extrasolar planetary system that has some striking similarities to our own Solar System. At least five planets are orbiting the Sun-like star HD 10180, and the regular pattern of their orbits is similar to that observed for our neighbouring planets. One of the new extrasolar worlds could be only 1.4 times the mass of the Earth, making it the least massive exoplanet ever found. This video podcast explains how these faraway planets were detected and exactly what we know about them. This episode can be downloaded (various formats available!) on: www.eso.org

Economic Pain For Upholding A Broken System - Bob Chapman & Alex Jones 1/3

We find it amusing that Mr. Bernanke in his press conference after the FOMC last week said, US bank exposure to Greece was minimal. We guess he forgot part of that $16.1 trillion and the credit default swaps from NYC banks to the tune of $150 billion. In addition we do not see the US and England escaping the fallout from Europe. From the very beginning 1-1/2 years ago we told Greece to default and that it was inevitable. Of course, the Greek government did not do that, because they wanted to hand their Illuminist friends Greek assets on a silver platter - that is public and private assets. When Greece goes eventually the other five will fall as well. Banks all over Europe are at risk even German savings banks, many US money market and pension funds have as much as 60% of their assets in instruments belonging to the six weaker nations. That represents a far greater risk than what Mr. Bernanke had admitted. The biggest question is what will the German Federal Court say? Investors had best check with their funds or advisor, or banks and S&L's to determine just how hard they can get hit. If the Court says it is ok, then in Germany it has to be voted on. It probably will be rejected and that creates a new set of problems. theinternationalforecaster.com www.infowars.com www.prisonplanet.tv www.infowars.net www.prisonplanet.tv

Evertune Bridge Demonstration

www.nstuffmusic.com EverTune is a simple concept that keeps a string in tune until it wants to be changed. It is a very exciting development in stringed instrument technology. It is a passive, all mechanical system based on trigonometry and some rudimentary physics. Hence it is a new technology that is actually old school, its main component being a spring set in a clever position. The benefits of this old school, all mechanical solution are that it is very rugged and reliable with only one moving part, and with all critical parts being made from high quality steel. It is also relatively reasonable in price, as opposed to servo-based (robotic) systems, and extremely effective. It is distinct from servo-based (robotic) tuner systems: they automatically tune strings for the player, the player tunes the strings with EverTune, EverTune only keeps the strings in the exact tune set by the player. If the point of a string on a stringed instrument is to play a specific note when the player plucks the string, then EverTune makes the string do its job magnificently for the life of the string. People have a lot of fun trying to get strings using the EverTune system out of tune. Browse around this site and other sites on the internet to see the growing number of videos and testimonials of people holding guitars by one string, taking guitars in and out of hot and cold environments, even turning the tuning machines, and then hitting chords that are still beautifully in tune! Yossi Fine & Ex-Centric Sound System

Song: "African Bee" - Ex-Centric Sound System Live at Stern Grove in San Francisco. The brainchild of bassist Yossi Fine, who's worked with Gil Evans, Lou Reed, and Naughty by Nature, among others, Ex-Centric Sound System is a band that mixes authentic African sounds with dub, techno, and hip-hop. While they work in the same general area as Transglobal Underground, Afro Celt Sound System, and similar bands, it's the density of their sound that sets them apart. Instead of songs, they use real instruments, samples, hip-hop beats, and studio manipulation to create soundscapes that draw listeners in and take them on a journey. There's adventure in the music, which always remains dance-floor-friendly and heavy on the bass, and the flights of consciousness characterize dub old and new. A triumph of the collective imagination. www.myspace.com A Digiteal Video go to www.livingdreamfilms.com

UFOTV Presents... - Secret UFO Propulsion Systems - Boyd Bushman - Senior Research Scientist - Lockheed Martin

"We now know how to travel to the stars. The Air Force has just given us a contract to take ET back home." - Ben Rich, former Head of Lockheed Skunkworks. As a Senior Research Engineer Boyd Bushman worked for Lockheed Martin, Texas Instruments and Hughes Aircraft. He is regarded as one of the inventors of the Stinger missile and he speaks on Camera about Area 51 and advanced propulsion systems being tested there. As a Senior Research Scientist at Lockheed Martin - Boyd Bushman reveals that Defense Contractor - Lockheed Martin has researched antigravity technology, specifically gravity manipulation by means of magnetic fields, and he shows that he experimented at Lockheed Martin's Fort Worth, Texas facilities, proving that magnetic fields affect the gravitational field and because of that, bodies don't fall with the same acceleration, a result different from the classical experiments made by Galileo with no magnetic fields present. The Crash of Air France Flight AF 447- Part 1 of 4

Air France Flight 447 was a scheduled airline flight from Rio de Janeiro to Paris that crashed into the Atlantic Ocean on 1 June 2009, killing all 216 passengers and 12 aircrew. This BBC documentary was produced almost a year BEFORE the black boxes were recovered, and it ACCURATELY predicted the primary cause of the air crash as pilot error. On 27 May 2011, the BEA released an update on its investigation, describing the history of the flight as recorded by the flight data recorder. At 3 hour 55 minutes absolute time, the captain gave his seat to the 2nd co-pilot and went out of the cockpit to rest. At 4 hours 6 minutes absolute time, the pilot warned the cabin crew that they were about to enter an area of turbulence. 4 minutes later, the pilots turned the plane slightly to the left and decreased its speed to 0.8 Mach due to increased turbulence. At 4 hours 10 minutes and 5 seconds absolute time, the autopilot and the auto-thrust systems disengaged. The pilot made a left nose-up input, as the plane began rolling to the right. The plane's stall warning sounded twice. 10 seconds later, the plane's recorded airspeed dropped sharply from 275 knots to 60 knots. The plane's angle of attack increased, and the plane started to climb. The left-side instruments then recorded a sharp rise in airspeed to 215 knots. This change was not displayed by the Integrated Standby Instrument System until a minute later (the right-side instruments were not recorded). The pilot continued making <b>...</b>

Milton Babbitt, Composition for 12 instruments, ensemble conducted by Ralph Shapey

Completed in 1948, this is one of Babbitt's earliest works in which the formation and transformation principles of the 12-tone pitch class system were applied to other musical dimensions, particularly the temporal. Other pieces notable for the same reason are his "Three Compositions for Piano" and "Composition for Four Instruments." Although in a single movement, "Composition for 12 instruments" divides obviously and externally into two sections, which are complimentary insofar as the explicitly presented materials of one function as the source material for the other. Milton Babbitt, Professor of Music at Princeton University, also has been a member of the faculties of the Salzburg Seminar in American Studies, The Berkshire Music Center (Tanglewood), and the Princeton Seminar in Advanced Musical Studies. His honors include a Joseph Barnes Prize, a New York Music Critics' Circle Citation, an Award of the National Institute of Arts and Letters, and a Guggenheim Fellowship. He is a member of the Committee of Direction of the Electronic Music Center of Columbia and Princeton Universities. [Notes adapted from the son-nova LP release] Conductor Ralph Shapey was well known both as composer and conductor. He studied composition with Stefan Wolpe and violin with Emanuel Zeitlin. As a composer, his honors included honorable mention for the George Gershwin Award, a Frank Huntington Beebe Award, an Italian Government Grant, and a Brandeis University Creative Arts Award.

The Crash of Air France Flight AF 447- Part 3 of 4

Earvana - Compensated Tuning Systems for Guitars

Inventor Rick Logacono and JP Cervoni explaining just how the Earvana Compensated Tuning System works. Earvana manufactures and distributes revolutionary guitar intonation technology. The patented technology is a uniquely designed nut created to improve the sound of your guitar. www.earvana.com You have probably noticed that it is nearly impossible to tune your guitar so that the chords in the first 5 frets ring true for any open chords. Earvana has solved this problem by developing a nut that compensates for the errors that are inherent in 99% of all stringed instruments.

DENTAL INSTRUMENT CASSETTE

www.ultimatecassettes.com Infection control in the dental office is essential for the safety of patients and to ensure that productivity does not suffer. Infection control programs all include the cleaning and sterilization of reusable denta instruments and devices. Care must be taken by the dental healthcare professional to ensure that all instruments are cleaned prior to sterilization, and that this is carried out in a safe manner to avoid injury and puncture wounds. Use of closed-system cassettes reduces the risk to dental healthcare professionals when executing infection control programs.
