In a fantasy world populated by humanoid animals, Air Pirates, led by the infamous Don Karnage, steal a treasure from a Khan Industries transport plane, only to have it snatched by a young cub, Kit Cloudkicker. Making his escape, he hooks a ride to Louie's club where he meets up with Baloo the bush pilot. Together they find themselves the target of the Pirates' constant pursuit that eventually costs Baloo's beloved plane which comes under the ownership of Rebecca Cunningham who keeps the bear on as a staff pilot. Don Carnage, pirate of the air, has just stolen a special jewel. When he and his men gather around to admire it, it's snatched up by Kit Cloudkicker who makes a daring escape from the Iron Vulture. Kit then hitches a ride to Louie's, where ace pilot Baloo is partying. When he starts back to Cape Suzette in his plane 'The Sea Duck,' Kit sneaks on. When Baloo finds out, he allows Kit to come back with him since he has no place to go. Once back at home, Baloo shows Kit his courier business. But soon after, it and the Sea Duck are soon repossessed and given to Rebecca Cunningham. Wanting to get his business and plane back, Baloo starts searching for fast money making plans. When Kit tells Baloo about the jewel he stole from the pirates, they decide to cash it in. But there's a larger story behind the jewel including it's worth in general, it's worth the Shere Khan, and it's worth the entire city of Cape Suzette.

Rerelease in HD for the TaleSpin 20th year anniversary. This was really the greatest show of my childhood. Best thing I can remember was the music which really made me listening to film music at all. So I composed this little orchestral track trying to remember how the mood and the soundtrack had been. Megadrive/Genesis Games - Tale Spin
TaleSpin is the name of a 1991 video game published by Capcom for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It is based on the Disney animated series with the same name. Tale Spin was also released by Capcom on the Game Boy. Sega released its own versions of Tale Spin on the Sega Genesis and Sega Game Gear. NEC also made one for their TurboGrafx-16 system. The Sega version of the game is a platform game for up to two players, playing as either Baloo or Kit. The aim of each level is to collect at least 10 cargo boxes in order to open the exit.

TaleSpin Review (NES)
Several games by the name of TaleSpin were released on a variety of platforms in the early 90s. All based on the Disney cartoon series of the same name, most of these games were actually action platformers. Only the the NES version starred Baloo the Bear as he roamed the skies in his mini-Sea Duck. TaleSpin, the game, takes a few liberties from the cartoon that inspired it. The biggest difference is the mini-Sea Duck's weaponry; the cartoon's Sea Duck did not have weapons, and in fact, it was a point of the show for Baloo and his sidekick Kit Cloudkicker to outwit and evade the dreaded Sky Pirates, as opposed to directly engaging them in battle. The mini-Sea Duck also has the ability to flip upside, which reverses the automatically scrolling screen, and is used for collecting items and dodging obstacles. An interesting mechanic, but generally underused for anything truly creative. In between levels, the plane can be outfitted with various upgrades using cash earned. Without upgrades, the mini-Sea Duck handles like crap, can only take a few blows and only fires a single ball bearing. Upgrading wisely is absolutely necessary. It seems as if Capcom took the liberties to turn TaleSpin into a shmup, but didn't quite see the effort through. The result is certainly not without its merits, but it's largely unremarkable and honestly, a bit more difficult than other Capcom-developed Disney games from the same era. If you're a fan of TaleSpin, though, you'll probably find some <b>...</b>

Tale Spin - Opening Theme Bass Cover 2
This is the second in my series of covers. It's the opening theme to the show, Tale Spin. I recorded this live in the original key but had to pitch it up a half step in post to be able to upload it to youtube. Super fun bassline and super fun song all around! Hope you enjoy it! The camera quality isn't the greatest but I'm too cheap to get a good one, so I hope you'll forgive me for that :). Anyway, all of my videos are done live. I record the video (through my camcorder) and the audio (direct into garageband) at the same time and use iMovie HD to sync everything up and make it look half-decent.
