Tamron 18-270 PZD
This is an amazing lens. I can't wait to try it out on an auto focusing (in video) body like the Nikon D7000. The auto focus speed could be a bit faster but as far as being quiet this lens wins that award hands down (compared to the original 18-270). Most people will want to buy it just for the fact that its smaller and still has that amazing 15x zoom equivalent. The first part is taken with a canon 60D with a 50mm 1.4.

Nikon D3100 with Tamron 18-270 PZD
Finally got to do a video using an auto focusing DSLR and the Tamron 18-270 PZD. Not as quiet as I'd like but much better than the kit lens and much faster auto focusing on this body than a 60D or any other DSLR without auto focusing video.

Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC LD Unboxing 720p/50 Canon 7D
Photos with this lens: www.flickr.com Raw footage of me unboxing a new lens recorded on my Canon 7D with a 50mm f/1.8 II lens. The zoom is very stiff and sticks when you first use it so struggled a bit with it. Also I mention that the focus ring doesn't rotate when you auto-focus but have since found that it does. The lens filter is a Hoya UV mulitcoated.

Tamron 18-250 Zoom Test
Zoom test rack focus with lens on a Canon 7d. Shaky as hell, and done real quick, sorry for the quality. Just something to give people in the market for one, an idea of what they're getting. Great lens, make SURE and use the "lock" on it if filming at sharp angles (straight up or straight down).

This SLR from Nikon is actually for beginners, but with the bigger lens instead of the 18-55mm, you can move from amateur to little professional. The pictures are taken with the Tamron 18-200mm and sometimes with the Nikon 70-300mm. The body got 10.1 Mega Pixels and a picturesresolution of 3872x2592p it can't record movies, but it got a guide mode to help doin pictures. It also allows you to show and create stop-motion pictures. For a bit less than 650 Swiss francs you will hold this camera in your hands.

In its groundbreaking review Dpreview recognized it as a excellent achievement. Its main strengths were - according to Dpreview - the weight and compactness. What would Dpreview say now? Tamron has come with the updated version of the old 18-250 mm. The new model is considerably lighter, smaller and employs faster autofocus motor. We have yet to wait for Dpreview`s opinion about it. The SIGMA 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM incorporates Sigmas original anti-shake compensation function, with a 13.8 times zoom ratio. As opposed to having an anti-shake function in the camera body, this lenss Hybrid Optical Stabilizer provides not only an anti-shake function for the camera body, but also compensates for image shaking in the view finder as the Optical Stabilizer is built in to the lens. Incorporating four Special Low Dispersion glass elements and three aspherical lens elements provides excellent image quality throughout the entire zoom range.
