The 2-hour concert will feature about 14 old and new songs of the band. The event will be opened by Daeron (Armenia) and Dismorial (Georgia) . Ticket price is GEL 20. Saturnus is a band from Denmark formed in 1991 playing melodic death/doom metal, with touches of gothic metal. In May 2006, Veronika Decides To Die, the 3rd full length album from Danish doom-metal band Saturnus, was released. The album title was inspired by Paulo Coelho's novel of the same name. Before this album, Saturnus has released two albums, Paradise Belongs To You and Martyr, and an EP, For The Loveless Lonely Nights.

Silent Killers? People go missing after brutal police crackdown

The fate of many opposition supporters remains unknown in Georgia, nearly two weeks since a brutal police crackdown on protesters in the capital, Tbilisi. While President Saakashvilli claims to be a champion of democracy in the country, human rights groups say finding out what's happened to the missing people is practically impossible. And as RT's Sara Firth reports some families fear they will never see their loved ones again.

Thousands have taken part in 5 days of protests calling for President Mikhail Saakashvili to resign. They were dispersed by armed policemen ahead of an Independence Day military parade. Dozens ended up in hospitals, and almost a hundred - in jail.

Around 10000 people protested near the Georgian Public Broadcaster's offices in the capital Tbilisi on Sunday. They were demanding the current government's resignation in order to conduct early parliamentary and presidential elections. Contrary to expectations, there were fewer protesters than on Saturday.

Tbilisi Fashion Week wrapped up 2011-05-08 Tbilisi Fashion Week came to an end last evening. The last fashion show was held at Aleksandre Chavchavadze House Museum in Tsinandali, Georgia's eastern region of Kakheti. Designer Tamuna Ingorokva presented Spring-Summer collection at a wine cellar. Locals and guests from Tbilisi attended the fashion show.

Saakashvili views new park in Tbilisi`s historic district 25.05.11 12:26 Georgia`s president Mikheil Saakashvili, along with other members of the government viewed a new complex on Rike square. The park is laid out on 10 hectares in the historic district of Tbilisi. It has a shape of Georgia`s map in which different region are connceted to one another with pedestrian pathways. Amphitheatre and children`s square are also laid out in the park. President Saakashvili, with Tbilisi Mayor Gigi Ugulava also laid foundation to Music and Drama Theatre and exhibition hall, which are intended to be constructed in the park planned by Spanish architect. The Culture Center will be constructed according to the plan by Italian Architect Massimiliano Fuksas, who arrived in Tbilisi long ago in order to examine the territory in advance. After having viewed the park, Mikheil Saakashvili held meeting with representatives of majority of Tbilisi City Assembly. Rike Park is already open for tourists and residents of Tbilisi, although its final rehabilitation will be completed in 2012.

Wine Festival opens in Tbilisi, Georgia

Wine Festival opens in Tbilisi, Georgia 14.05.11 Wine Festival opened in Tbilisi on Saturday. The festive events are taking place in the Ethnographic Museum. Twenty comapnies and forty family productions presented their own wines at the festival. Tbilisi Myor tasted the wines at the event. Georgia`s Agriculture Minister Bakur Kvezereli opened the festival today. The minister said the festival is a good opportunity for buyers t get acquainted with Georgian wine producing companies. "At this festival buyers will be able to get acquainted with companies and taste these wines for free. As for the companies, this is a good chance for advertizing", Kvezereli said. The festival is organized by Wine Club. Wine made in Alaverdi Monastery in Kakheti Region of Eastern Georgia is also represented at the festival. Over 3000 people, including foreign tourists, visited the festival. Participants of the festival will be granted special certificates and gifts by the Wine Club. This is the second time the event takes place in Georgia. As reported, the festival will be held at second Saturday of May every year.

Music Breaks Free! Tbilisi Open Air -- AlterVision 2009 The festival- Tbilisi Alter Vision Open Air was held on May 15-17, 2009 in Tbilisi. It was the fusion of styles, spirit of freedom and fantastic atmosphere of open-air event. The festival united different musical genres and gathered musicians from all over the world. Tbilisi Alter Vision\Open Air was going on in an atmosphere free of all kinds of political and social clichés, simultaneously with the Eurovision. Artists and music fans from Georgia and abroad met, fused, exchanged, learned, and enjoyed some great music and very special ambiance. 23 bands participated in the festival from nine countries, four of which were world-known artists- Transglobal Underground, The Dhol Foundation, Jazzanova, Fred Falke. After the participation in the festival, two bands, Andy (Poland) and Motel Connection (Italy) got contracts with the world-known music labels. Andy signed contract with the Universal Studio and Motel Connection-Live Nation. Festival-Tbilisi Open Air AlterVision had a great response in the local and international media: 36 reports in the news programs, 52 participations in the high-rate Georgian TV programs, 22 press reviews and 75 publications on different internet web-sites, blogs and forums. The festival was covered by such media organization, like: Times Online, Reuters, El Mundo, Corriere Dela Sera, Associated Press, Nuvoel Observer and others.
