I'm putting some different information in the descriptions of the various TT Camp videos: "ABOUT TICS A tic is a brief, repetitive, purposeless, nonrhythmic, involuntary movement or sound. Tics that produce movement are called "motor tics," while tics that produce sound are called "vocal tics" or "phonic tics." Tics tend to occur in bursts or "bouts." Tics are often characterized by whether they are "simple" or "complex." A simple tic involves one muscle group or one simple sound. Many simple motor tics are associated with the face/head/neck region, such as eye blinking, head jerking, shoulder shrugging, mouth grimacing, etc. Simple vocal tics include throat-clearing sounds, grunting, sniffing, and coughing. A complex tic involves a coordinated movement produced by a number of muscle groups (complex motor tic) or a linguistically meaningful utterance or phrase (complex vocal tic). LAPD's Boot Camp for Troubled Teens
In 2009, over 30000 crimes were committed by teenagers in the city of Los Angeles. That is one in five kids who committed a crime involving gangs, drugs or prostitution. Unfortunately, due to complex circumstances, many parents do not have the skills or resources it takes to keep their child from a life of crime. The Juvenile Impact Program (JIP) is a Los Angeles based 12-week boot camp style program run by LAPD officers for troubled youth. The JIP is the only boot camp of its kind that is entirely funded by private contributions through the Los Angeles Police Foundation and offered at no cost to families in need. The JIP program seeks to reverse negative behavior in defiant teens by offering a structured educational curriculum under the supervision and guidance of certified teachers that includes physical training, classroom instruction, guest speaking engagements, and one-on-one time with police officers. Unlike most other teen boot camp programs, JIP has a mandatory parenting course designed to help them deal with the many challenges teens present. Through group therapy support, parents learn ways to discipline without yelling or abuse, to build and enhance their child's self-esteem, and to develop a strong sense of responsibility in their child. Other issues addressed are domestic violence, and drug, alcoholism and gang recognition. Further, vocal tics are not just audiblized words, but can include sniffing sounds (like Ben), pushing air out through the nose, huffing (like Michelle does), etc. So TS is both motor & vocal, with most TS suffers having way more motor tics. "Tics typically begin at about 6 or 7 years of age, initially presenting in midline body regions where there are many muscles: the head, neck and facial region. Jason, that sweetheart who wears a hockey mask and wields a machete, is back. Friday the 13th is just the ticket for those who want to cuddle with a Valentine date during a horror flick. Killer Jason (ki ki ki ma ma ma) is always good for scary jolts as he chases hapless hardbodies. This is another spawn of the 1980 horror flick that introduced Jason Voorhees, the kid who drowned while hormonal teen camp counselors were distracted. Although Jason didnt do the murderous deeds in the first film, it didnt take him long to get up to speed with a machete. After going into space, battling Freddy Krueger and terrorizing Manhattan, Jason returns to Camp Crystal Lake, his original killing ground. The franchises 12th film, which reclaims the original title, combines elements of the first four films, according to Amanda Righetti, who plays a young woman who goes missing at Crystal Lake. Its a throwback to the originals, Righetti said. You still play to that audience that is built-in, that grew up watching Friday the 13th and are huge fans of it, but also the new generation who maybe hasnt seen the old 1980 film. In this version, the camp is in ruins when Clay (Jared Padalecki) goes searching for his sister (Righetti) at infamous Crystal Lake although the authorities and locals advise him to stay away.
