Tetris: Axis review.Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Tetris: Axis from Hudson Soft and Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. It's not that Tetris: Axis is a bad game. Any game built around Alexey Pajitnov's masterpiece is an inherently good game at heart. The thing is, when it's been rereleased as many times as Tetris, the quality of the release really hinges on the quality of the package. In that respect, Tetris: Axis is a bit of a letdown. There are more than 20 different ways to play Tetris in Axis, but they're scattered across a menu system that is anything but intuitive and most of them aren't worth playing more than once. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of Tetris: Axis is the game's presentation. Two of the best recent Tetris games for Nintendo consoles were Tetris DS and Tetris Party for WiiWare, each of which packaged cool gameplay with equally well-conceived aesthetics and designs. Tetris Axis 3DS Countdown Video Game Countdowns

Hello, and welcome to my 40 line Sprint run. Read on to figure out how I filmed this, and my opinion of the run. First of all, I hate 99% of off-screen gameplay videos. Most people get their crappy Hi-8 camera and point it at their curvy, 14" CRT television at an angle about five feet back, and have the quiet, mono speaker sound drowned out by their annoying, 9 year old voice. In this situation, I'm forced to film it off-screen since the 3DS has no capture card available (and older DS models only had two, obscure ones), and I'm not an emulator type of person. What I've done is tried to keep the action in frame without shakes as best as possible, then turned the BGM off and dubbed the song I usually have playing for Sprint mode over it, so it'd sound cleaner and fuller. On to the run, though: Last week I was trying to break into sub-minute territory. I did that, then tried to go even faster. This run would've been faster than my current high score of 58"19, but not having the BGM on while filming threw me off, believe it or not. I pay attention to the music in order to let me know how close I am to the one minute mark, and when I get to the point I need to hurry up, I'll say screw you to building stuff up to get a Tetris, and rather try to clear singles/doubles/triples as fast as I can since building up for a Tetris with 3-4 lines left to go would just waste too much time. Here I didn't realize it, so I kept building and eventually screwed up a bit. Thanks for watching it <b>...</b>
