Filmed and Edited by Michael Santoro in 南投臺灣(Nan Tou, Taiwan) of the 臺灣邵族原住民(Thao people of Taiwan) for the RITUAL PROJECT 2010. Known to most as one of the most scenic areas in Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake, is also ancestral home to the Thao people. The Thao are the smallest of the officially recognized indigenous peoples in Taiwan. There are only 200 of the Thao people left in the world today, with only 5 or 6 who can still speak their language. Over this past year, Artistic Director Michael Santoro and Interim Executive Director Yafonne Chen spent time in their village learning and documenting their traditional music, as well as, the many social and economic problems the community faces.

Yay!! Time for a new original and this time is a song written in Vietnamese. As usual, I recorded the main track with guitar and vocal live, then added in background vocal and 2nd guitar. Originally I started writing this song when I was still in Melbourne, living in a room with a big window looking out to the street and I was feeling bored. But I was cheered up when I looked out, seeing the sunlight, the green leaves and the people on the street.
