Starring Alexei Guskov, Melanie Laurent, Dmitry Nazarov and Miou Miou During the Brezhnev era, Andrei Filipov was a prodigy - the greatest conductor in the Soviet Union and he directed the famous Bolshoi Orchestra. But after refusing to expel his Jewish musicians, including his best friend Sacha, he was fired at the height of his glory. Thirty years later, he is still working at the Bolshoi, but as a cleaner. When Andrei intercepts a fax from the Theatre du Chatelet inviting the Bolshoi Orchestra to Paris, he comes up with a crazy idea: hell gather up his old musician friends (now working rag-tag jobs), head to Paris and pretend to be the famed orchestra to play Tchaikovsky's "Violin Concerto. The long-awaited dream to deliver one final performance! Opening at #1 at the French cinema box-office, The Concert is pure entertainment a warm-hearted, joyous story filled with great wit and humanity. "Forever and for Always" is originally a single and track from the 2002 album, "Up", by Shania Twain. The album was released on the Mercury-Nashville label and was produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange and Simon & Diamond Duggal. A huge worldwide success, "Up!" is RIAA diamond certified in the US and CRIA diamond certified in Canada. "Up!" was written by Robert John "Mutt" Lange and Shania Twain and was released as a single on Mercury Nashville Records. Peak chart positions for the single include: #20 on the Billboard Hot 100, #4 on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, #1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart, #6 on the UK and the Irish Singles Charts and #5 on the Canadian Singles Chart. This live concert version of "Forever and for Always" is taken from a US television special from November 2003. The special concert was a promotion for Twain's album "Up" and features Alison Krauss and Union Station in an "in-the-round" performance reminiscent of Elvis Presley's 1968 Comeback Special, right down to Twain's black leather attire. About the Filmmaker CAMERON CROWE, Director, Writer, Producer At Age 13 Cameron Crowe began his professional life as a music critic, writing for magazines such as Creem and Crawdaddy, and at 15, became a staff writer for Rolling Stone. In 1979, Crowe (then 22) went undercover as a Southern California high schooler for his book, Fast Times at Ridgemont High. He then wrote the screenplay for the film upon which it was based. In 1989, Crowe made his feature film directorial debut with Say Anything.... His other films include Jerry Maguire, Vanilla Sky, Elizabethtown and Almost Famous, which earned him an Oscar® for Best Original Screenplay.
