Timothy Saccenti is a photographer and now video director that we had come across via a piece of work that he had done for the New York band 'Battles'. In fact not only had he made the bands video but also collaborated with them to create their album cover and a superb series of stills. His take on directing is very refreshing, possibly since his background was with still photography so he comes up to the moving image plate without the baggage, rules and preconceptions that can be instilled by more traditional teaching and learning. His interview is a very honest reflection of his character as well as his great work. Full length interview included within issue #19 of Specialten. Los Angeles resident Steven Ellison. aka Juno Leed aka Flying Lotus is an electronic artist/hip-hop beat-maker, occasionally linked to artists such as Madlib , J Dilla and fellow LA resident The Gaslamp Killer for his more abstract and sometimes jazz-tinted style. Flying Lotus, often abbreviated to FlyLo, is currently signed to Warp Records, although he released his first album, 1983 on Plug Research Records, the label to which he belonged from 2006-2007. His June 2008 release, Los Angeles, with cover art designed by Build & Timothy Saccenti, was released to positive critical reviews. As well as serious album work, remixes and production for artists such as Oddisee and John Robinson, FlyLo is also responsible for many of the musical loops heard during the 'bumps' on Adult Swim, as well as being a casual filmmaker.

Introducing The Playface Its that face you make when you are playing video games and concentrating so much that you dont even realize the kind of expressions you are making. And everyone has a different one. After months of blood, sweat and no sleep, the Playface campaign is a reality. We captured 50 people in the heat of gaming for our PlayStation new brand campaign that launched yesterday. PlayStation held a media event in Akihabara to unveil the redesigned PS3 and also introduce the Playface campaign. With all the cameras rolling, and the spots playing on the big screen, it felt more like a movie premiere than a press conference. New York director Timothy Saccenti directed the Playface short films. Londons Dayn Williams edited up a storm to distinctively bring each face to life. W+K Tokyo Lab artist Jemapur added his touch to the soundtrack and sound design The integrated campaign will include TV, a website, print, out of home, as well as a four month long Playface Caravan where we will set out to capture as many consumer playfaces as we can as a part of a Japan wide contest.

Lordz Of Brooklyn - Saturday Nite Fever
Lordz Of Brooklyn (short LOB) now known as The Lordz are an American crossover Hip hop/Rock group composed of brothers and childhood friends of mostly Irish American and Italian American descent from Brooklyn, New York. The original line up consisted of the McLeer brothers, ADM (previously Ad Money, born Adam McLeer) and MC Kaves (Michael McLeer, born 1969), with Scotty Edge, Dino Bottz and Paulie Nugent (aka Paulie 2Times). Both Kaves and Edge were part of the 80s New York underground graffiti culture, and graffiti featured heavily in their music in songs like Tales From The Rails, Bomb The System, and Out Ta Bomb. Throughout their career, the Lordz Of Brooklyn have collaborated with many artists, including Everlast, Bumpy Knuckles, Liroy, Busta Rhymes ("Forget Bout It Bout It"), Ozzy Osbourne (Busta Rhyme's "Iron Man" cover), Tim Armstrong ("Outlaw"), KoRn ("White Trash" remix), Shanti ("Momma's Boy" new version), Danny Diablo ("PSK What Does It Mean" Schooly D cover) and others. The group was initially formed in 1992. Signed to American Recordings/Ventrue, Lordz debuted with All In The Family in 1995. It contained the underground hit single "Saturday Nite Fever", based on a sample of Guess Who's "American Woman".
