This is the COMPLETE, 14 minute long version of the music from "Battery". The official soundtrack for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, included an abridged and modified version of all tracks. The 4 minute version of this one in that CD misses all the awesome parts (starting at 4:10), so it was a big shame. Of course, in the game, all these different cues are selected and blended procedurally according to the tension during the game, but the whole set is just too damn awesome on itself, and it deserves a special mention and appreciation. The guy who made these rips (Pablo) did his best to append the cues in a natural order, and he did a great job. Since YouTube now allows videos up to 15 minutes, I decided it was time to upload a video that does this track justice. So here it is, the theme for Battery in all its badass 14-minute glory, and in HD for perfect audio. Enjoy! Music by Amon Tobin. Copyrighted by UbiSoft. One of the finest A/V shows out there supporting a head-melting album, ISAM. This was easily the most impressive show I've seen. The sound was teeth-achingly present, the bass was incredibly rich and physical, and it all came together for me for this segment. It's unbelievable how projection has developed for this kind of application. There, it seems, no more limits. After this point in the show, it seemed they began to fold back the visuals already used into the mix - remixing them I guess....which I have to say was a tad disappointing. I'm sure it's exceptionally expensive to produce this stuff, but if you go to ALLL this work to break ground and blow minds, I figure you might as well do it to the very end. My only other gripe (if you can call it that), was that after about an hour or so I started feeling like it was a VJ going nuts with Grand Arkos VJ - in that it started to be very random and unordered. The first hour had a tremendous impact in terms of flow and a hint of narrative that tied nicely to the music. That said - Amon Tobin can do no wrong in my view..this was a jaw-dropping experience to be sure.
