Tojiro Aogami Deba vs Chicken

180mm Tojiro Aogami (blue) steel deba (butcher's) knife. This knife comes in at 309 grams, plenty of weight to help you get through those tough bones, or fish head that you've been struggling with. The knife is only sharpened on one side, in traditional Japanese style. This type of blade profile allows for a more acute edge than the traditional 50/50 grind found on most knifes. Aogami (blue) steel is able to hold an edge better than almost any steel available today. Prized for its toughness, is also has a great ability to take an edge and keep it. The steel is slightly reactive, although the cladding from the factory should make any rust issues a non-issue. Pick yours up today at Chefknivestogo!

Tojiro White Steel Gyuto (prototype) vs Onion

White #2 steel for $49.95?! You'd be hard pressed to find a better knife for the money. Tojiro, a solid knife maker, has an excellent reputation. White steel is prized for taking the best edge of Japanese Hitachi steels. Fine grained, it will hone up as good, if not better, than your straight razor. The blade profile makes for a great performer with little effort. This is arguably one of the best value knives out there. Due to be in production shortly, this is the prototype. Expect the production model to possibly perform even better.

Tojiro DP nakiri

This nakiri knife is the Tojiro DP. Great for handling many tasks, it excels at vegetable prep. May be used in some places where a santoku would also do, only this is much safer to use as it has no point. Great for working on a line. Heavy duty construction is evident as soon as you handle the knife. It was built to take any abuse you can throw at it in your kitchen.

Tojiro ITK 270 mm Bread Knife

The Tojiro ITK 270mm Bread Knife is a wondrous tool for any cook home or pro. We refer to it at work as "The best bread knife in the world" for good reason. Like a laser beam It slices through all breads crusty and soft like they're not even there. I find a lot of other fun uses for it as well. Melons are skinned with ease while tomatoes are dispatched as well. Works great on sausages and other meats both tough and tender too.

Stayed nicely within 7 degrees per side. Edge retention is way over what I had expected at this extreme angle. Remember people, this is a $50 knife!! ( you'll exclusively find it at chefknivestogo.com) And it takes an edge like it was a high-end straight razor!!

Wi Fi Single #58: Tojiro-Kun

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWE SHIT NEW TEAM This one was the brainchild of about 5 hours and a few trial&error sessions; unfortunately as much as I like Absol I will be replacing it with a Blaziken since Blaziken can definitely take out lead Machamp with Brave Bird and if not, it will seriously dent it. Plus there's the added bonus of actually being able to live hits since Absol's HP and defenses kind of suck major balls. Anyways, please let me know what you think about it! I spent a lot of time brainstorming and I would really appreciate your opinions/suggestions. :)
