Tokyo Police Club 'Cheer It On' from the EP 'A Lesson in Crime'

Tokyo Police Club -- at 1/87 scale!! Director - Sean Wainsteim Most of the 3/4" figures in the video are made by Preiser for model train set dioramas, then often custom painted and/or modified to suit the scene. The Band members themselves are based on nudist figures. Their clothing, shoes, and instruments were specially made for them. The buildings and background sets were all specially made for this video, including all the fire, smoke, streets, sidewalks, signage etc. Once everything was assembled, the figures and props were put together in as many funny and shocking and bloody ways possible to create the chaotic TPC world. All the anatomically correct and medically precise scenes and characters were detailed and hand crafted by Adam Weir and Andrew Heffron (rumored to also be anatomically correct and medical precise). Using advanced technology, cinematographer Simon Shohet shrunk down to miniature size to film the video using miniature cranes and tiny working helicopters. Director Sean Wainsteim has completed full size videos (but no less strange) for The Dears, Pilate, Wintersleep, illScarlett and many many more rock and roll musical artistes.

DAVE MONKS - TOKYO POLICE CLUB

www.BalconyTV.com 'Like' us on Facebook - http PRESENTED BY CHERYL Tokyo Police Club took its first baby steps toward finding that voice with its formation in 2005. The band was off and running the following year, releasing the debut EP A Lesson In Crime to instant and universal acclaim. One more EP (Smith), a digital-only single ("Your English Is Good") and a few world tours later, Tokyo Police Club's first full length album, Elephant Shell was released in April 2008. Elephant Shell's release was preceded by multiple sold out shows in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Toronto, and followed by appearances on The Late Show With David Letterman, The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson and, bizarrely enough, Desperate Housewives. Critical response to the full length was even more enthusiastic and diverse, with the likes of GQ ("Strokes-caliber catchiness"), Elle ("a smart, furiously played sugar-rush debut"), Rolling Stone ("poised to become the biggest Canadian export since Molson") and more giving thumbs up. The guys circled the globe in support of Elephant Shell for approximately a year and a half, finally coming off the road in August of 2009. All of which brings us to Tokyo Police Club unveiling Champ to ears and eyes the world over, as the band embarks on a tour as special guests of Passion Pit that will take them through the end of June. Barely hours after that tour concludes, the boys will kick off a headlining tour that will find them headlining through the ...

Tokyo Police Club - Listen To The Math

Song: Juno Artist: Tokyo Police Club Album: Elephant Shell Label: Saddle Creek Records I do not own this song, credit goes to Tokyo Police Club and Saddle Creek Records. Lyrics: You've been famous since your birth And a silent one it was, Til they told me it was a girl And everybody gasped I know how to raise you right Teach you how to read And your maths (?) and alphabet And how to be polite You've been famous since your birth And a silent one it was, Til they told me it was a girl And everybody said You and your atlas know it all Let the corners curl Cause if you go by night You'll hit the coast for sure It's a ruse, it's a laugh Experts, they'd agree Listen to the math Australopithecine, Rekindle your heart These hospital machines Are state of the art I've put down my middle name In the back of her book And signed it just in case Our walk was over love Cause I've got one more up my sleeve Bring it out tonight Cause if I am the joke Then you're the punchline It's a ruse, it's a laugh Experts, they'd agree Listen to the math Australopithecine, Rekindle your heart These hospital machines Are state of the art But it's the art of the state That's gonna keep me awake I need a second opinion Not a second to waste

Tokyo Police Club-Cut cut paste

Cut Cut Paste Pays to fish from the Hole I cut in your ceiling, While you were sleeping Dreaming of paisley pig in classy digs. My hook catches on your lip And I reel you in. And as you rise up to my floor The hook impails our two tongues. And thats how we first kiss, Its something i still miss. You think I've lost my mind. "Is this blood his or mine?" Cause when we kiss our scars align. As a trail of blood Drips for both our chins, You awake in my living room To see its stained your moccasins. You cry out and ask Where you are and who am I. And I tell you "I need you!" But you run and jump back down the hole. And thats how we first kiss. Its something I still miss.
