Strange, I recall it was LABOUR that sold half the UK taxpayers gold reserves to bail out two crooked banks - at a MASSIVE loss. It was LABOUR that created the first run on a bank in 109 years. It was LABOUR that devalued the UK Pound. It was LABOUR that engineered record low interest rates to steal from savers and pension funds. It was LABOUR that made the scam Private Finance Initiative spending top secret so nobody could question how much money was being wasted. It was LABOUR that opened the UK's borders "to rub the Tories nose in multiculturism". It was LABOUR that printed (Quantitative Easing) billions of Pounds, sending the real inflation rate higher. In July 2009, following on from the MPs expenses scandal, the Independent Review Panel on AMs Pay and Allowances, chaired by Sir Roger Jones, made a series of recommendations aimed at tightening up on expense claims etc. The panels report said that while family members of AMs who were already employed should be allowed to keep their jobs, no further such appointments should be allowed. Following that report, Assembly rules will be changed in 2011 so that a Human Resources Officer will be present whenever an AM appoints staff. In the meantime however AMs remain free to employ their relatives, with their salaries being paid out of public funds. Plaid Cymru however, took the decision after that report was published, to impose the review panels recommendations on its own AMs, with immediate effect. (The next Wales Assembly elections are due in 2011) Mohamed known as Oscar to his friends, and up to fairly recently by Plaid wanted to employ his daughter, he already employs his wife, And in September he sought clarification from the Fees Office, about whether or not he could employ his daughter as his press officer. He was told that according to the rules at present he could.
