
This video depicts Monet, a Cane Corso Mastiff rescued from a high-kill gassing pound in Warren, OH. On her journey to her new foster home in Corunna, ON, her transporter met, and picked up an English Mastiff named Lacey (from Columbia City, IN) who joined her on her journey to a new life. The two were fostered together, with three small children, and their two resident dogs, a rescued German Shepherd and a rescued Doberman. Not every dog gets a happy ending. Help Friendly Giants Dog Rescue create more happy endings like theirs. Friendly Giants Dog Rescue is a non-profit group based out of Ottawa, ON and Sarnia, ON. We rescue primarily *but not limited to* large and giant breed dogs across North America, and place them in loving foster homes until they are adopted. The majority of these dogs come from high-kill gassing pounds. Some come from heartsticking shelters, which we'll tackle in another video. Spaying and neutering is the first big step to curbing the pet overpopulation, dogs are indiscriminately breeding by accident from careless owners, and for profit, by breeders and puppy mills. It needs to stop. In the meantime, the best we can do to help is to foster. Get these dogs out of shelters and into families. Time is of the essence, time they do not have. Many of these shelters do not adopt to the public, they are 100% kill facilities. Others offer 24hrs for an owner surrendered dog to find a home, 72hrs for a stray.
