Although "Texas Flood" has three verses of lyrics, the song is more of a prolonged guitar solo, allowing Vaughan to show off his characteristic electric blues style. During live shows, he would often play portions of this song behind his back, arousing an enthusiastic crowd response. Stylistically, "Texas Flood" is structured around the common three chord blues progression. The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California by vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, drummer John Densmore, and guitarist Robby Krieger. They are considered a controversial and influential band, due mostly to Morrison's cryptic lyrics and unpredictable stage persona. After Morrison's death on July 3, 1971, the remaining members continued as a threesome until disbanding in 1973. Despite a career that barely totaled eight years, The Doors still enjoy a huge cult following as well as status in the mainstream music industry as being hugely influential and original. UFO over Laredo Tx
Around 2 AM this Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) was seen for the second night in a row hovering around the south Texas area. The night prior to this event, there was a identical sighting that lasted for almost 3 hours. The object flies and hovers around the sky, flying left the changing course and going right. it seems as if the object has a stationary red and blue light, but two others that strobe and are far apart. About 2 hours after this video another object appeared, but my camera ran out of battery.

Thanks to the drought, which is causing lakes to dry up in Texas, authorities in Nacogdoches have uncovered what may be a part of the space shuttle Columbia in Lake Nacogdoches. "The lower water level has exposed a larger than normal area on the northern side of the lake," said NPD Sgt. Greg Sowell. "A large round object became visible, and it is very possible that it is part of Columbia." Officials with the Nacogdoches police took pictures of the object, described as being 4-feet in diameter and full of mud, and sent them off to NASA. Columbia broke-up on re-entry over North Texas in February 2003, killing seven astronauts and leaving a trail of debris from North Texas to Louisiana. "We want to remind everyone that the rules are the same as they were back in 2003. If this object is indeed a part of the shuttle, it is government property, and it is a criminal offense to tamper with it," Sowell said. Nacogdoches authorities are awaiting instructions from NASA on recovery of the item.

Marcus Luttrell's Dog Murdered by Punks in Texas (April 5, 2009) PART 1
On April 5, 2009, four teenage males approached Luttrell's property and fatally wounded his dog, Dasy, with a .357 Magnum revolver at approximately 1 AM Each letter of the name "Dasy" represents one of the fallen members of his team. She was given to him in recovery to help him through rehabilitation. Luttrell proceeded to track the individuals through four counties in his truck until Texas Rangers apprehended the individuals. Upon arrest, the suspects verbally threatened Luttrell's life and taunted him. Alfonso Hernandez was arrested on-scene and charged with animal cruelty whilst Michael Edmonds has not yet been charged. Today on Glenn Becks show, he had former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell on to talk about what happened to him last week. You see it seems some dumb-ass punks were driving the Texas countryside, summarily executing dogs. Marcus chased these punks over four counties, and he nearly shot the driver. Finally the Rangers caught up with these punks in Huntsville, TX and the idiots in handcuffs were laughing about it. They said they would also kill Marcus. Do these douchebags not know about Marcus? Dickhead Alfonso Hernandez was charged with Cruelty to Animals and is facing up to two years in prison, and dickhead #2, Michael Edmonds, is currently on the run.
