But this time is different than , I'm using the LCD to output the data. Actually the ATmega8 doesn't have enough I/O port, so I'm using the LCD in 4 bit mode naturally. About the UART, I used the IC MAX232 to connect my Notebook, it was because I have remained some MAX232 and I can use it directly. Controlling EasyPIC6 over the UART from your browser


Guys from our Hardware Department were exploring the possibility of controlling a development board over the browser, but using UART instead of Ethernet. They wrote application in Adobe® Flex, and a proxy application that is a mediator between the browser and UART controller on the PC. We had some great and promising results presented in this video. Imagine how interesting your first lessons on electronics and programming would be with such an interesting application. Or imagine how cool would be to control your device remotely without having to write complex Ethernet TCP/IP stacks or handlers.

I used the logic for real tests today! I loved it! I got really nice data and the Logic gets a thumbs up in my opinion. It is a really neat device that you will not only need, but will also love using. Its attractive in simple ways, like the aluminum body and non-slip bottom. Its attractive because of great features also, the software is well made and the Logic can take tons of samples very quickly. Overall I give it a 9.9 out of 10, nothing ever gets a 10 because 10 means that the device can make me toast and butter it :) .
