Sources said the agency is also planning to question Karunanidhi`s daughter, DMK MP Kanimozhi, in what will take the CBI literally to the TN chief minister's doorsteps. Kanimozhi has been aligned with sacked telecom minister A Raja in DMK`s factional equations. MK Dayalu, Karunanidhi`s second wife, holds 60% in the channel. CBI is investigating a Rs 206-crore transaction to Kalaignar TV in 2009, arranged by DB Group, which owns Swan Telecom, one of the biggest beneficiaries of the scandalous 2G allocation by Raja when he was telecom minister. In his interaction with TV editors on Wednesday, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had blamed the spectrum scam on DMK and its leadership`s insistence on keeping the telecom portfolio during the two tenures of UPA. Sources said CBI was likely to question Kanimozhi in Delhi to avoid embarrassment to DMK — the reason why Raja was arrested in New Delhi. They also said CBI had no plan to question MK Dayalu.
