Al parecer el epicentro del sismo fue cerca del Estado de Guerrero, aunque se sintió en Ciudad de México y en otros estados del país azteca. A 7.6 magnitude earthquake has hit south-western Mexico. The US Geological Survey says the quake happened 193 kilometers east of Acapulco on Mexico's Pacific coast. The Mexico earthquake, which had its epicenter in Ometepec in Guerrero State, has reportedly rocked buildings in Mexico City, forcing frightened workers and residents out into the streets. A 4.8-magnitude aftershock was felt in Mexico City following the earthquake. Mexico City Mayor Marcelo Ebrard posted on his Twitter that the water system and other "strategic services" were not experiencing any problems. "The health system is operating normally, except for some broken glass and other minor damage," he also posted. The US Geological Survey registered the epicenter as being 17.5 kilometers underground. President Felipe Calderon said that no serious damage had been caused by the strong Mexico quake. The telephone service was reported to be down throughout the area where the quake was felt. noticias.univision.com noticias.univision.com noticias.univision.com María Elena Salinas Jorge Ramos
