The officer's conduct has been called into question after a videotape of the incident was posted on YouTube. The video, taken from a Utah Highway Patrol dashboard camera, shows Trooper John Gardner using a Taser on Jared Massey during a traffic stop on State Road 40 in Uintah County on Sept. 14.2007 In the nearly 10-minute video, Gardner is seen pulling Massey over for speeding. When Massey refuses to sign the citation, Gardner asks him to exit the vehicle, and things quickly escalate as the motorist points toward the speed limit sign.

A conversation with Enes Kanter Utah Jazz
You could call Enes Kanter an international man of mystery. The 6 foot 11 inch center from Istanbul, Turkey was selected with the 3rd overall pick in the NBA draft by the Utah Jazz. Very few people have seen him play, but most who have, rave about his talent. He is a very skilled big man, an excellent rebounder and a tough, physical player who doesn't shy away from contact. After being ruled permanently ineligible by the NCAA, Kanter could have left Kentucky and continued preparing for the NBA draft in his native Turkey. Instead, he chose to stay and continue his education. Now, after not being able to speak any English two years ago, Kanter is engaging and downright funny in a second language. If you add intelligence to the qualities listed above, the Jazz may have something special in Enes Kanter. Then there is his love for pro wrestling that I had to ask him about as well. [VIDEO] Trapped under burning car | Logan, Utah man trapped beneath a burning car rescued
LOGAN, Utah (ABC 4 News) -- A motorcycle crash in Logan just outside Utah State University trapped a young man beneath a burning car Monday morning. Good Samaritans jumped into action and likely the sole reason the young man survived, albeit serious injuries. Flames were shooting in the air as 21-year-old Brandon Wright of Logan was trapped beneath the hot metal. Calls for help flooded 911 Dispatch. Caller: "Looks like someone might be under the vehicle. Cars are burning. You better send somebody out here." Wright was driving eastbound on US Highway 89 when a black BMW pulled out in front of him. Logan Police tell ABC 4 that Wright deliberately laid his bike over to avoid a collision. That's when his bike went up in flames and he was trapped underneath the BMW. 911 Caller: "I think I'm going to back up...the motorcycle is spitting out fire and I don't know if it's going to explode or not." While Wright was trapped under the car a miracle happened. About a dozen men used teamwork, strength and bravery to lift the burning car off of Wright and set him free. "I'm impressed. I'm impressed that that many people would get involved especially when there's fire involved," said Assistant Logan Police Chief Jeff Curtis. The crash happened about fifty yards from a construction project underway at USU. When crews working there heard the crash they dropped what they were doing and rushed to the scene to help. Meteor lights up night sky above Utah - Nov 2009
A large ball of fire streaking across the night time skies just after midnight had many Utahn's wondering what they saw early Wednesday morning. Dozens of calls came with people wondering if they saw a shooting star, others wondered if it was the end of the world, military testing, or even a UFO. People from Mona to Spanish Fork from Ogden to Bountiful all calling in a very similar sighting More... To many, it looked like a large fall of fire, lightning up the sky, some say like daylight, others reported a blue like light that lasted for about 30 seconds. And many reported hearing a boom about 5 minutes later. Utah's NASA and Solar System Ambassador Patrick Wiggins said that it was a meteor also known as a bolide. From his observatory near Stansbury Park he says the break up of the meteor occured at about 240 to 250 degrees azimuth which puts it just north of southwest. He also heard the sound of an explosion that would put the breakup of the bolide about 100 km in that direction placing it high above Granite Peak in the west desert.

Flame Throwers: Video of crash victim saved from burning car in Utah
A Utah motorcyclist who was pinned under a burning car, expressed his gratitude on Tuesday for the help of strangers who lifted up the the 4000 pound (1.8 tonne) vehicle to rescue him, in an act of bravery captured on amateur video. Authorities said 21-year-old Brandon Wright was riding his motorcycle on Monday near the Utah State University campus in Logan when he collided with a black BMW that was pulling out of a parking lot. Tyre and skid marks on the highway indicate that Wright laid the bike down and slid along the road before colliding with the car. The bike hit the car's hood and bounced to the ground, while Wright, who was not a wearing helmet, slid under the car and then both vehicles burst into flames, police said. Wright was pinned to the ground as the flames began to engulf the car. The video shows a crowd of about 10 men and women gathering around the burning car and motorcycle as flames shoot into the air. Quickly the group places their hands on the car and starts to rock it until it tilts up on its side.Once the car is on two wheels, a construction worker can be seen dragging a spread-eagled Wright from under the car. The whole time we felt so lucky to be skiing this exotic, weird terrain under such good conditions. It really seemed like a once in a lifetime opportunity so we treated it as such.
