Gojira Vacuity The Way of All Flesh 2008 Vocalist Joseph Duplantier recently spoke to METAL HAMMER(UK) about the theme of the song : "Vacuity. Absence of matter, emptiness, but full of light. Ultimate presence beyond the notions of our world. Vacuity is the source and not just 'nothingness.' We live in a world that goes faster every day and it seems there's a lack of time for each one of us. This song is about taking the time and being closer to the heart. I finally found a pretty good tone for my POD, I think, so I wanted to record a video to demonstrate it, and since Gojira is awesome and I had a guitar in Drop C, I picked Vacuity, which I just learned. For some reason the sync got really really really really really really really really really really off, so I just threw a color change effect on to pretend that it was in sync. It's an easy song, so you really don't need to look at my hands that much anyway. Leave comments re: tone, not sync.

Cover of Vacuity, the new song from the upcoming Gojira album "The Way of All Flesh" Sound recorded with Toneport UX1 then filmed with MacBook Pro webcam. It was a pain in the ass to sync, because the webcam is very laggy. I recorded both guitars, but didn't film playing the second guitar. Learned by ear, so don't ask for tabs. Can't wait for the new album, Gojira! And hoping for a new song to be released soon. ;)

Old school unbuffed, full chi, 1v1 open PvP on PWI-Harshland server. Rome, lvl 101 sage str-vit HA axe BM vs Desiree, lvl 101 demon pure-vit arcane veno. Total of six for-fun fights, each lasting on average 5 mins (footage is sped up 3.5x) before we decided to stop for the day (and get some sleep). Lessons learned: nix-stun BMs right after the purge to prevent them from re-magic marrowing and use VACUITY powders - completely forgot that I had a few in my inventory ; (. I love Gojira. They just totally rule. No lie. 2008's The Way of All Flesh isn't my favorite Gojira album, but it still kicks quite a bit of ass. Vacuity is one of my favorite songs off the album, so I thought I'd film a little guitar cover of it. I started day dreaming a few times during the video and ended up making a few mistakes, but nothing major. I'm playing my Ibanez RG7EXFX2 with just the bridge EMG707, tuned to GCGCFAD, through my Fractal Audio Axe-FX Ultra, only using the Recto New amp model on this one. Luckily Gojira's tone is closer to my tone than some guys I've been covering...
