Unlocked at level 45, the AS VAL is the final all-kit weapon unlocked in Battlefield 3's competitive multiplayer component. It fires at a rate of 900 rounds per minute, and features a 20-round magazine (despite what Battlelog says). It features both semi- and full-auto firing modes. If fully depleted of all its ammo, the AS VAL takes a total of 2.95 seconds to reload, with an add time of 1.95 seconds. Otherwise, it takes 1.85 seconds to reload, with an add time of 1.15 seconds.
