one of my favorites from Edit Piaf - and for sure it is one of my favourites in general. Enjoy it ! This version has been recorded without any background music for assistance. The drumset (brush/broom) was added lateron as a second track to the accordion playing by myself. I used broom/brush made of plastic material and played on my tambourine's drumhead. In the meantime I received my new snare drum as well... :-) and I'm going to use that on one of my next songs here for sure.

An English version of the lyrics was written later by Mack David. Several notable artists have performed "La Vie en Rose", one of my favorite is the Louis Armstrong version which was used in the movie French Kiss in 1995, an American romantic comedy film set in France, starring Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline.

He is more associated with the light orchestra genre than any other entertainer. He was also musical director for a large number of musicals and other plays, including ones by Noel Coward. After the war, he concentrated on recording, and eventually gave up live performance altogether.
