Green Island is an old Taiwanese song called "Lüdao Xiaoyequ," composed by Yao Di and Chen Chang-shou. It is also hidden track #12 of Vienna Teng's latest album, Warm Strangers, available on iTunes. Vienna performed this enchanting love song with impeccable fashion, bringing to life with her beautiful voice, an ancient lullaby, dear to her soul. This is only a 40 seconds trailer I cut from the original music video, Vienna's first music video. The music video was shot in February 2004, over a three-day period. Vienna was scheduled to leave town at the end of the week. We did not have much time. Due to the stormy weather conditions, I re-wrote the opening sequence to take place indoors, with Vienna playing the piano. Eric Cheng's home in San Francisco was ideal, with a loft overlooking the living room and the grand piano. It was pouring cats and dogs all day long... The following day I picked up Vienna and Paul, my assistant, at 5:00 am. I drove to the Santa Cruz Light House while Vienna slept, trying to recuperate from the day before. We arrived at the beach around 6:30 am. It wasn't raining! The sky was painted silver. Sunbeams were piercing the clouds, reflecting a dreamy light on the ocean. Never underestimate the power of visualization! The scene was exactly how I originally saw the opening sequence, with Vienna sleeping on a tree log washed ashore by the ocean. Between the tsunami like waves, showers and wind, we were able to shoot for approximately 3 hours, but often <b>...</b>
