Gone with the Wind & Vivien Leigh home video footage discovered!

Katie Couric, David Janssen & Herb Bridges view/discuss the recently discovered GWTW home video footage. The footage shows Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Olivia de Havilland, Leslie Howard, Victor Fleming and various extras behind the scenes during the filming of the 1939 classic. For more information on Vivien Leigh & Gone with the Wind, please visit VIVIEN-LEIGH.COM. Video supplied by Mark Mayes. From Brucemore.org: "The subject of this attention was a three-minute segment of footage taken by Howard Hall in 1939. Howard was visiting friends and checking on investments in California when he was invited to visit the Busch Garden set of Gone With the Wind. Howard had access to the set through his friend Paul Robinson, whose wife Ann was the stand-in for Olivia de Havilland. Through that connection, he had remarkable access to the otherwise closed set of the most popular American film ever made. Fortuitously, he brought his movie camera. The quality of the images is extraordinary. Howard documents the filming of one of the opening scenes of the movie -- the barbecue at Twelve Oaks. He focuses on Clark Gable and Vivian Leigh sitting by their trailers in full costume, smoking and waiting for their scenes. He also shows stand-ins setting up a shot for Leslie Howard and Olivia de Havilland. Some scenes reveal hundreds of extras in antebellum costumes, standing in the California sun, waiting for the cameras to roll. Howard's filming on the set of Gone with the Wind was not an ...

Vivien Vee - Remember ♫ (WITH LYRICS)

1 of my all time favourite songs! Vivien Vee is now living in Napoli. Audio only with a picture. As far as I'm aware there is no footage of her preforming this song anywhere. :( *a shout out goes to DJAtoz & phonedial9, for translating some of the lyrics. LYRICS: -------------------------------------------- Remember when we were just lovers? Remember you picked the best flower? All I want[ed] was a single bed, And just this land. Remember you weren't able to cry, Cause you were, Cause you were, Afraid to lose me. Remember when we were still able, To hold a hand, listen to people? When a vacation was a dream? You were a simple man, And I began to leave again. Cause I was, Cause I was, Afraid to lose you. Now watching you design, You took me over, me and my time. A lonely dark house by the sea. I wonder if it is, I wonder if it's still you and me? And I feel, And I feel, Just like a stranger. I listen to the wind and rain, Beating on the window pane. I'm in between the barren white walls, Trying to fly to you, Trying to fly as best I can, But you know, But you know, You wouldn't find me. Now, you're drunk with success. You buy and sell, Your soul as well. (soul as well, soul as well) Now, I'm leaving you, You go around, It's gone on too long. --------------------------------------------

Vivien Leigh

Vivien Leigh - Vivian Mary Hartley was born on November 5, 1913, in Darjeeling, India, a strange place for one of the world's most celebrated actresses to be born. She was to live in this beautiful country for the next six years. Her parents wanted to go home to England but because of World War I they opted to stay in India. At the end of the war the Hartleys headed back to their home country, where Vivien's mother wanted her daughter to have a convent education. She was one of the youngest in attendance, and it was not a happy experience for her. One of the few consolations was her friendship with a classmate who also became a successful actress, Maureen O'Sullivan While there her mother came for a visit and took her to a play on London's legendary West Side. It was there that Vivien decided to become an actress.
Vivien Leigh

One of cinema's greatest legends, Vivien was a stunningly beautiful screen and stage presence with charismatic, strong roles. She paradoxically portrayed women of strength and fragility such as the legendary Scarlett O'Hara. The title of this video is "Memories in the Rain" as it is a tribute in a dream-like sequence in the rain. I got my inspiration from Anna Karenina and Waterloo Bridge where Vivien plays doomed characters. Anna Karenina tragically concludes with Vivian in the snow at the rail station. Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer and Max Steiner have haunting themes which work perfectly for Vivien. As always, special thanks to my friend Claudia who provided clips for That Hamilton Woman.

Sir William Hamilton, a widower of mature years, is British ambassador to the Court of Naples. Emma who comes for a visit with her mother wouldn't cut the grade with London society but she gets along well with the Queen of Naples. Emma likes being Lady Hamilton and life goes smoothly until Lord Nelson pays a visit. Sir William decides at first to let his young wife have her fling and pretends not to know what is going on. But the real life lovers, whose first screen romance was in "Fire Over England" (1937) have an even more burning passion for each other in this film.

UPDATE: This video was recently tagged as violating/using the Rolling Stones song without their permission. SO, I kept the video online, but I had to change the song. Miklos Feher's & Marc-Vivien Foe's Deaths!! The suddest video ever made!!!

Miklós Fehér, born on the 20 of July 1979, was a striker in the Hungarian football team. He started playing at Győri ETO FC before moving to SL Benfica. Fehér was first seen by FC Porto scouts while playing in Hungary at Győri ETO FC. He was signed in 1998 but he never really made a breakthrough in the team, and being relatively young he was loaned to gain experience. He joined another Porto club, SC Salgueiros on loan. Having an average season he was loaned this time to SC Braga where he had his best season scoring 14 goals in 26 matches. After the FC Porto chairman Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa quarreled with agent José Veiga (Fehér's agent amongst other players), Fehér refused to let go his agent and left. He joined Lisbon side SL Benfica scoring 7 goals in 28 matches. DEATH... On 25 January 2004, Benfica travelled to Guimarães to play Vitória SC. The game was being broadcast live on television and Benfica were leading 1-0. Fehér received a yellow card in injury time and suddenly bent forward seemingly in pain and then fell backwards to the ground. Team mates rushed immediately to aid Fehér before medical personnel arrived on the pitch. CPR was performed as players looked on in visible distress, as well as the match official who tragically still held in his hand the yellow card with which he had booked Fehér only moments earlier. An ambulance arrived on the pitch and Fehér was rushed to hospital. His condition was covered by the Portuguese media throughout the day but ...
Vivien and Suzanne

This is the first video that shows pictures of Suzanne, Viviens only child. Trivia: Suzanne was born October 12th 1933 Trivia: Suzanne was Viviens only living child. Vivien had a total of three miscarriges, all with Laurence Olivier. The first was in 1942, and the baby died within the first couple of weeks, the second miscarriage happened in 1945. Vivien was starring in Caesar and Cleopatra and she had to run in one scene and shout "I am a Queen" but the floor was over-waxed thus making her fall and loose the baby. The third miscarriage happened in 1956. Vivien was only 42 years old at the time and she was starring in Noel Cowards "South sea bubble" she pulled out of the play August 11th. Vivien awaited for her baby at Notley Abbey, but she suffered a miscarriage on August 12th. The baby was five months along, it would have been a baby boy. However, Vivien wanted a baby girl who was to be named Katherine. Sadly enough, she had the godparents, the nanny and a nursery ready for the baby that she lost. Trivia: In 1958, the Olivier marriage was almost over. Laurence Olivier thought that having a family with Vivien would help repair the marriage. He asked her if she wanted children with him but she refused.
