Singing PM: 'Fats' Putin over the top of 'Blueberry Hill' with piano solo

Full video of Vladimir Putin playing the piano and singing "Blueberry Hill". The Russian prime minister is used to taking to the stage, but this time it was not for one of his speeches. Vladimir Putin made his audience sit up and take note, as he sang at a charity fundraiser. The reception at an ice stadium in St. Petersburg was dedicated to fighting children's cancer. International celebrities including Kevin Costner, Gerard Depardieu, Mickey Rourke, Sharon Stone, Kurt Russell, Vincent Cassel, Monica Belucci, Ornella Muti, Goldie Hawn and many others attended the benefit concert. Many of the stars are actively involved in charity work which draws needed attention to children's oncological and ophthalmological diseases. When the hostess approached Putin's table and asked him to sing for the audience, his immediate reaction was "are you kidding me?" But the hostess was determined to get the prime minister on the mic and reminded him about the songs he sang with the Russian sleeper agents extradited from the US last summer. Putin attempted to evade the proposal by saying that the singing she was referring to had come from the heart. However, after seeing the pictures of ill children shown to the audience on the big screen, he took to the stage. "Like the majority of people I cannot -- but do like to sing and to play -- so you'll have to rough it," he warned as he sat at the piano and played the beginning of Blueberry Hill. The tune was immediately caught by Maceo Parker's ...

Vladimir Putin!

Funny collection of Putin Pics. Vladimir Putin, the current Prime Minister of Russia, and former president who served two terms, has had a truly historic career. Accused of rigging elections and totalitarianism by the west, Russians loyalty to him, his reforms, stern personality and recent invasion of the former USSR state of Georgia, as well as his previous invasion of Chechnya make him a very interesting figure, so much so that TIME Magazine named him Man of the Year in 2007. During his presidency, Russia's GDP increased from around 300 to $1300 Billion in USD, poverty rates were cut more than half, the middle class rose from 8 million to 55 million, and and average monthly salaries increased by 150% in real rates. Industry grew by 75%, investments by 125% and the economic crisis that Russia faced at the end of the Yeltsin years is now a thing of the past, as Putin has helped establish a thriving Russian economy based on the development of Russian energy and petroleum resources, as well as paying off the $200 billion in debt Russia faced. Putin was nominated to be Prime minster by his successor Dimitri Medvedev. His own presidency was marked with extremely high approval ratings, never falling below 65% and peaking at around 81%, the highest of any world leader, no doubt due to the increase in the Russian standard of living. Putin's leadership also saw the nation through several military challenges, most notably the war in Chechnya and the 2002 hostage crisis in a Moscow ...

Vladimir Putin Outflanks the British

Here in America, we need to outflank the British by removing Obama from the US presidency. With Obama out, the US can then join forces with Russia and China to collaborate on economic policies that will develop regions of the world with waterworks and high-speed rail projects. These are projects that will employ millions of people and thus revive the global economy of the world. The plan and the vision are at hand. Russia and China are willing participants and the only impediment that limits the US's involvement -is Obama, which is why the Congress needs to grow a sense of courage to take the right action in safely removing Obama from the White House. This must happen as the top priority, so that we can continue to fulfill the vision that stands before us; a vision of real hope, a vision of economic prosperity, a vision for world peace; as we extend our polices of freedom to every nation in the world. Vladimir Putin And Dmitry Medvedev Dance 2010 New Year Cartoon Duet (TV Show) english subtitles

Russia President Dmitry Medvedev and Russia Prime Minister Vladimir Putin dance in a new years cartoon broadcast on Channel One Russian TV. The accordion-playing Medvedev started the skit with a neat jump and shout of "hopa!" to which Putin replied: "Well done!" "Now your turn," said Medvedev. The cartoon Putin gamely hit the tambourine against his backside. "Great!" said Medvedev, admiringly. Using rhyming couplets and the elaborate wordplays beloved of Russians, the sketch gently poked fun at the situation created by the sharing of power by Medvedev and his Kremlin predecessor and mentor Putin. "I, for the second time, congratulate the people on the New Year," declaimed Medvedev, who took over from Putin in May 2008 after a meteoric ascendancy. "I know. But someone here has congratulated them nine times," pointed out the cartoon Putin. "Yes, I remember," conceded Medvedev.

Russia Vladimir Putin Dive Fast Forward to the Past

Vladimir Putin's plan to return to the presidency next year, which could open the way for him to rule for another 12 years. While many in Russia and the West see Mr. Brezhnev's reign as one of stagnant totalitarianism, for Mr. Putin's spokesman the analogy isn't a bad thing at all. "Brezhnev wasn't a minus for the history of our country, he was a huge plus," Dmitry Peskov told Dozhd, an independent Russian television network. "He laid the foundation of the economy, agriculture, etc." After serving as president from 2000 to 2008, Mr. Putin moved to the prime minister's post due to term limits, but he was seen as the country's paramount leader. Dmitry Medvedev, the iPad-toting protege he picked to assume the presidency, encouraged some liberals in Russia and abroad with his talk of greater political and economic openness. Mr. Medvedev even drew comparisons to Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, who helped bring an end to communism and the Cold War. But at a congress of the ruling United Russia party last month, the two Russian leaders announced they would swap jobs, with Mr. Putin running in the presidential election in March and Mr. Medvedev becoming prime minister. The switch, and the leaders' admission that they had for years planned Mr. Putin's return to the presidency, shocked many who had believed Mr. Medvedev's previous public claims that he might run for re-election. Under constitutional changes Mr. Medvedev engineered, the presidential term will be extended to six ...
