I FINALLY recived my EMD 567 cornerstone series kit after had ordering it over 12 days ago, and I got the 3 day shipping. What was going to be a total of under $13 ended up costing $31 and some off cents. I also placed the order through WholeSaleTrains.com and it came from Lantz's Hobby Shop. I dont know.....

This video is to show yall about the Walthers Grade crossing signals. They are perfect right to the last detail, The bell on the signal tho is customly put on by me and does not come with the product. The bell board it and ITTC HQ300 Grade Bell. And the Crossing flasher circut is a BD3a Board, I am still having a few issues with the bell and where to hook it up exactly on the board, If anyone has the BD3a and knows where the bell modual belongs please feel free to tell me.

It will be added to the main yard on the layout my Dad and I are building. This was a very nice kit to build and would recommend it to anyone in need of a coal tower for there early steam era layout. Unfortunately, the Budd Great Dome car with its three-axle trucks was having problems negotiating some spots, so it's omitted from the otherwise complete 16-car consist.

This video was originally made strictly as an unboxing video of my New Walthers HO scale Flush-deck Flatcar, but I thought I might as well give you all an update of whats going on around my Layout. Some bad news: because I changed my outside curves, I am going to have to make a new tunnel covering only a single track. I have always liked these cars. I didn't know it was metal untill a friend of mine (MrRailroadrunner) informed me about it. This is Walthers Gold line in HO scale. These cars are unique because they can carry both Shipping Containers and Semi Trailers. For the price, I highly reccomend this product. Yes I just had to use an Intro from Halo. LOL

This is a version of the Walthers Cornerstone HO scale Tri State Power Authority that one of the RVRR club members had put together. It was extremely well done, with high voltage power lines which unfortunately I didn't get a chance to capture in this video. This is an excellent scenery idea for anyone that has the space for it. There is a loop around the building that is used for coal cars. The loop goes through the rotary dumper (non-working on our layout). The random lighting of the HoHoKus Electric sign is controlled by a CTI Electronics board.

My previous attempts, using the TinyTot motors and gearheads, produced good running results, but the various small TinyTot motors just could not stand up to hours of continuous running. Several hours at 6 volts (with one motor) and 7.5 volts (with a 12v motor) caused the motors to burn out. This version uses a more robust Mashima 10x12x15mm 12v motor (retail cost about $30) mated to the original TinyTot 5:1 gearhead. (These are available from micro-loco-motion.com. Use the contact info there and send an email to inquire about buying one) After multiple overnight and all-day continuous-running "torture" tests, the motor still held up, so this is the solution I stayed with: Mashima 10mmx12mmx15mm motor, with 1.5mm shaft ground down to 1.0mm and flatted to fit in the TinyTot gearhead. Gearhead is simply epoxied to the front of the motor.

Carmina Burana, Latin for "Songs from Benediktbeuern", is the name given to a manuscript of 254 poems and dramatic texts from the 11th or 12th century, although some are from the 13th century. The pieces were written almost entirely in Medieval Latin; a few in Middle High German, and some with traces of Old French or Provençal. Many are macaronic, a mixture of Latin and German or French vernacular. They were written by students and clergy when the Latin idiom was the lingua franca across Italy and western Europe for travelling scholars, universities and theologians. Most of the poems and songs appear to be the work of Goliards, clergy (mostly students) who sent up and satirized the Church. The collection preserves the works of a number of poets, including Peter of Blois, Walter of Châtillon and the anonymous one, referred to as the Archpoet. The collection was found in 1803 in the Bavarian monastery of Benediktbeuern and is now housed in the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek in Munich. Along with the Carmina Cantabrigiensia, the Carmina Burana is the most important collection of Goliard and vagabond songs. The manuscripts reflect an 'international' European movement, with songs originating from the following countries, Occitanie, France, England, Scotland, Switzerland, Aragon, Castille, Germany.
