Recalling the RKO Coliseum in Washington Heights NYC

The neighborhood movie palaces are long gone, but two former doo wop singers from the1950's, who grew up in the Heights, remember what those neighborhood social institutions were like in the days before television changed the world. The film is an edited short version of Boris Riabov's documentary "Through a Kid's Eyes" . The film was inspired by a contribution by Al Conde, former bass singer of the 1950's vocal group, the Chevrons. Al wrote to the Heightsmemories website, recalling his true life experiences growing up in Washington Heights, NY in the 40's and 50's.
