Windows 7 Tablet PC - Why I use the Motion Computing F5v

As a Microsoft MVP for Tablet and Touch I often get asked, "Which Windows 7 Tablet PC do you use?" Since I'm on the road at least 3 out of 5 days a week I choose the Motion Computing F5v for a number of reasons. 1, It is powerful with an Intel Core i7 processor - fast, responsive and works every time. 2, It has best display on the market: Hydis AFFS+ panel behind Corning's super tough Gorilla Glass and with the all important fast and accurate Wacom active digitizer. 3, Hot swappable batteries, car chargers, battery chargers and fast charging mean that I never run out of power... ever! 4, It is rugged enough for the job (Life on the road is very tough on computers). So those are some of the reasons that I use the Motion Computing F5v for my job. Many other Australian companies requiring a tough, industrial strength, high performance work tool have chosen it too. This year Motion Computing released a capacitive touch + Wacom digitizer version and I'm trialing that version as we speak. Contact us to find out more. www.tabletpc.com.au

Motion Computing F5v - Rugged Windows 7 Tablet PC with Wacom Digitizer and Multi-Touch

The Motion Computing F5v can now be ordered with the world's best Wacom Active Digitizer and Multi-Touch system. The F5v is a rugged field tablet PC for use in outdoor and rough environments. This video looks at the multi-touch capacitive screen on the F5v and the flexible input available in the standard version of Windows 7 Professional (this is not a special version for tablets). Of all of the Tablet PCs on the market to day, I choose the F5v as my mobile workhorse. It has an Intel Core i7 processor with a 128Gb SSD drive up to 8Gb of RAM which makes it more than powerful enough to replace most laptop or desktop PCs. For IT, the F5v is powerful enough to run most corporate Standard Operating Environments (SOE) in Windows 7 or XP. VPro, Intel Anti-Theft, 32 and 64bit supporting the F5v the easiest choice! With the Motion F5v, your field workers will never have to go into the office again!

My Review Dell Latitude ST Windows 7 Tablet - Dell Slate Tablet 1120

This review was quickly assembled in repsonse to requests to get it online sooner rather than later. I wish I had better things to say about the Dell tablet. I'll give the ST some more time and then do a Part II. PS: Just received word from Dell they will offering training on how to use the ST for only $2880. Wow, such a deal, but still beyond Channel 70 Productions training budget for the week. Update: 1/14/2012 I'd forgotten this tablet has two cameras. Nowhere (that I could easily discover anyhow) was any information on how to use the cameras. I finally found something by right clicking 'computer' and then locating 'device manager. Using a dropdown, I saw cameras and 'opened' that. On the program that opened, the camera on the back of the tablet began working. On the right side of the screen a circular arrow appeared. Clicking on the arrow activated the screen-side camera. Update: 1/15 Today I discovered the keyboard could be 'stretched' to fit my fingers, so commands are now easier to enter. Also, I discovered a low opacity 'mouse' appears on the keyboard and can be contolled with one finger - sometimes. Occasionally, the 'mouse' will move away from my approaching finger as though it is afraid. Also, I discovered the 'mouse' could be set up for either right handed or left handed users. When I attempted to apply the setting, the screen froze. When I tried to ctl+alt+del, a message appeared (the rest of the screen remained frozen) saying I should press the Windows ...

The upgraded 10.1 inch tablet is nearly identical to the S1080 apart from a Cedar Trail processor bump to the N2800 processor. The processor change is actually a very significant one since one of the main flaws of the S1080 was that it was too hot, the N2800 allows for a much cooler experience, it still gets warm, but it's not even close to the same levels that we saw with the S1080.

ExoPC Windows 7 Tablet Walk Through

www.netbooknews.com When we first laid eye's on the ExoPC late night in a hotel room at Computex we knew the afterhours setting meant that we were getting our hands on something special. At the time we had little faith in Windows 7 tablets, actually that attitude hasn't changed, except when it comes to the ExoPC. I said it in June and I'll say it again, the ExoPC UI makes Windows 7 tablets viable. The UI is zen like in appearance with a series of circles, interacting with the 44 dots is almost like playing with bubble wrap, you just want to keep pressing them to see what happens. Lucky it comes with its own store and a flurry of applications so you won't easily get board and discover you are in fact in an empty ecosystem. Its capacitive touch screen is very responsive and offers the snappy experience we all look for in a tablet. If you would like to read my full review, the link is above.

[TemptingReviews] Asus Eee Slate EP121 - Windows 7 Tablet

Finally...a slate that is worth the dollars asked. The ExoPC (which I also wrote a review about) being $800 pales in comparison to the Eee Slate which is $300 more. Based on the specs of this beast, I would say the ExoPC is overpriced by about $400. Nice machine, but just comparing specs. This device has two things that make it not quite appealing to everyone: The weight and the battery life. The weight makes it not that desirable for lengthy holding, though it is no more heavy than any of the Motion Computing tablets. IN fact, spec-wise this is comparable to the Motion J3500, it just doesn't have the same battery life (and obviously, this is because it's a lot slimmer than the Motion tablet). Contains the same Gorilla Glass which by itself makes it infinitely more valuable than any other tablet out there, but the back seems to be simple plastic rather than ruggedized, so I figure the machine could still break and you'd just have a flawless piece of glass. Who knows. On a scale of 10 I would give it an 8. Battery life and weight are the only factors holding it back. Again THIS IS NOT AN IPAD COMPETITOR. I would go out on a limb by saying this isn't even really a consumer device. I'm not sure why they put 7 Home Premium on it (64 bit Home Premium at that), because it just doesn't fit into a consumer market with the Android tablets and the iPad. My advice: Upgrade it to 7 Ultimate or Professional, and use it in a business environment as a mobile computing solution. ARE YOU ...

Windows 7 Tablet ASUS Eee Slate EP121

getfreetablet.info - Get free tablet. Windows 7 Tablet ASUS Eee Slate EP121 short review: Slates existed long before Apple and Google completely reinvented the tablet category, when the only option at the time was a Windows operating system. Asus, which hopes to capitalize on the tablet boom, is making sure Windows lives on in its slates while leaving no grounds uncovered. At CES 2011, the PC juggernaut launched the Eee Slate EP121, a Windows 7 tablet with an Intel Core i5 processor. This is in addition to three Google Android slates it launched today. Of the four, the EP121 is the most powerful and also the most expensive. The EP121 is among the biggest slates you'll see unveiled at the show, boasting a 12-inch screen and weighing 2.5-pounds. By comparison, the Apple iPad runs a 9.7-inch widescreen and weighs a pound less than the EP121. The screen uses a 1280-by-800 resolution, which is interesting because it's based on a 16-by-10 aspect ratio that most laptops have moved away from, in favor of a 16-by-9 one. The 12-inch screen supports multitouch, which we expected. Adding a Wacom digitized layer and throwing in a digitizer pen were a bit of a surprise, but a pleasant one, since Wacom's handwriting recognition engine is used widely in Windows 7 tablets. The other method of input is a physical Bluetooth keyboard, which is sold separately. A laptop-like feature set is essential to any Windows-based PC, which is why the EP121 comes with a USB 2.0 port, mini HDMI (Type C ...
