Asus Eee Pad runs Windows Embedded Compact 7
Here is one very cool looking, ultra thin and ultra light tablet by Asus powered by Windows CE7 and running on an NVidia Tegra processor. It's only 0,48 inches (1,21cm) thick, sports a touchscreen and a built in camera, supports Adobe Flash and is said to have 10hrs of battery life. Asus announced its release for end of 2010/beginning of 2011 but did not reveal the price. According to rumours it will start at $399.

Welcome to another Toradex video tutorial. In this episode we demonstrate the steps involved in powering up our Robin Nano COM Express™ embedded computer module, which is based on the Intel Atom x86 processor. Toradex currently offers two different modules, the Robin Z510 & Z530 running at 1.1GHz and 1.6GHz respectively. In this tutorial we show how easy it is to get the Robin modules up and running using our own Toradex Daisy carrier board. We also take you through the steps involved in transferring Windows Embedded Standard onto the Robin module's onboard Solid State Disk (SSD - up to 4GB), allowing you to boot Windows directly from the SSD on start-up. Another ASUS ePad Silently Appears at the Intel Booth Computex 2010
www.netbooknews.com ASUS is knows for releasing too many products, so when we saw this one we were more curious then shocked. We had seen 2 ePads at their press conference, the 10-inch EP101TC with NVIDIA Tegra 2 Windows Embedded Compact 7 and the 12-inch EP121 with Intel / Windows 7. What we uncovered at the booth was a new this new 10-inch version running Windows 7 at the Intel booth. This area of Intel's booth has a few reference designs so we may never know what is going on with this tablet and there is no way to find out if we've got Intel's Atom Moorestown platform or a current Menlow Z Series CPU under the hood. The model gives us a nice walk around of the system, so that plus the mystery tablet makes for good video.

$89 Sylvania Windows CE Netbook detailed review
Two decades ago, you could buy a Sinclair ZX81 computer for under $100. Now you can get a much more capable "Netbooklet" for that price. Also known as the TinyBook, SmartBook, or Wireless Book, this is the 7-inch Sylvania Netbook, running Windows CE 6.0 on an ARM-compatible VIA 8505 CPU. It has built-in Wireless G connectivity, and has basic Internet functionality, including the ability to view YouTube videos. Normal PC applications will not run on it, but if you look hard enough, you can find software for Windows CE (whose interface will remind you a lot of Windows 95). Users have also reported some success in installing Linux or the Google Android operating system. Sylvania also has an "OS Update" available on their web site, but be warned that it wipes out all your files and removes some useful applications, so be sure to do a full backup before installing it.
