www.bottegaveneta.com For Women's Fall-Winter 2010, Bottega Veneta presents a collection centered on line and movement. A dark, rich palette of ink blue, chocolate, bottle green, carbon gray, and black predominates, occasionally illuminated by touches of iridescent metallics. Materials such as washed silk twill, crinkled chiffon, silk crepe, and silk-and-cashmere jersey outline and enhance the movement of the body, while compact wool, cashmere, brocade and shearling create a more constructed line. The silhouette is the focus of the collection, says Creative Director Tomas Maier. It starts powerfully, with a structured shoulder, then becomes gentler and more fluid on the bottom. Only when a woman moves do you see the line of body, the completion of the silhouette.
