Wonderwall by Ryan Adams. Perhaps one of the softest, if not THE softest tune in any rhythm game to date. You might be all like "ZOMG DIS SUNG IZ DA SUXORZ" but I find it quite enjoyable, a "real" acoustic song. Say what you will about it, but Noel Gallagher have found this version to be really good. So yeah, whatever, I already have the other Wonderwall in Rock Band. Kind of fun but way fucking tough on vocals. Ryan Adams has played many great live versions of Oasis' "Wonderwall". But for me personally, the best live version is his performance of this song on the 22nd November 2008 at the Guildhall Southampton. There is already a great video for this performance on YT from another channel, and I managed to source the original clean recording, made by Thomas Bauer. From the Archive, a live concert recording of "Wonderwall" from Ryan Adams & The Cardinals at the Louisville Palace Theatre on March 16th 2009. Along with his performance of Wonderwall at the Guildhall, Southampton on November 22nd 2008, this ranks amongst the best live versions of the Ryan Adams cover. Originally written by Noel Gallagher, "Wonderwall" appears on Oasis' album (What's the Story) Morning Glory? in October 1995. The song reached the top ten on 13 charts, including topping the charts in New Zealand, Australia, and the United States. The single was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry and certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. Ryan Adams' cover of Wonderwall was released on his EP "Love Is Hell Part 1" in 2003. The second EP "Love Is Hell Part 2" was combined with Part 1 to produce the main "Love Is Hell" album, released in 2004. First performed in 2001, his cover-version of Wonderwall was released as a single in the UK on June 28, 2004 and was well-received by Noel Gallagher. Gallagher has been quoted as saying: "I went to see Ryan Adams in Manchester...so he's playing away and he just does 'Wonderwall' right in the middle of the set. The fucking place went silent. It was so beautiful. I was just like, 'Fucking Jesus Christ what a fucking song!' Afterwards, I told him, 'You can have that song, man, because we could never quite get it right".
